Yes, The Commodores were known for their ballads; The thing is, with Lionel Richie, they performed too many of them. Had they had a balence of ballads and up-tempo tunes, Lionel Richie wouldn't have had the problems he had with The Commodores like he did. Oh well, live and learn, right?

This is one of the popular songs that were out there whilst I was a teenager growing up back in the 70's. Lionel Ritchie's voice is never mistaken and he led the Commodores to many hits back then. My favourites have always been Still, Three Times a Lady, Easy and Sweet Love. I become choked when I hear this music and the nostalgia sets in. This is truly a beautiful song.

Well i do feel alot better after reading some of these comments here. Im not the only grown man that can rarely listen to this song without crying like a little baby. What is it about this song? Made me cry then, still makes me cry 30 some years later. And im no wimp, im a 225 pound weightlifter. Beautiful song either way.
