I remember being up there on a low-grav server once. 5 engineers and an unsuspecting enemy team? Priceless. Also, this still works on 360. You can place all your buildings whereever you want without having to do that "fall off and place it" thing.

i've done this :D. But its basically useless at helping your team win. the best good it can do is stalemate the round. Also the new spy patch makes it possible for the spy to use the teleporter which makes it even more useless.

This isnt an exploit or glitch of any kind, if you ask me valve left this in here on purpose as a natural part of the game. For them to set it up so you can actually get to the top without having to glitch through walls makes it highly likely nothing will be done about this. I mean think about it, if it was a glitch or exploit(or at least a useful one) it probly wouldve been patched by now.

I can't see this being patched any time soon, because unlike a lot of exploits, for it to ever be useful you would need multiple sentries set up in different spots to cover the area.

And it can be easily destroyed by rockets or stickys.

I got a tip for this glitch (if it actually IS a glitch.)

Instead of building a Dispenser, build a sentry. Go back to respawn room to get more metal, and jump on top of the sentry. Then you can crouch-jump onto the top part. I've used it nearly every time I've been on Dustbowl.

I dont know why this is a glitch? People used to grenade jump all the time in TFC times too, building SGs on rooftops (mostly crossover spawn and spawnbuilding roof)

It would be diffrent if you'd build it out of the map ie under it.

- Don't "CLICK CLICK CLICK" when trying to place stuff, instead just HOLD the click.

- You crouch and fall off backwards SLOWLY.

I tried this trick before the update and it did not work. The enemy scouts just rushed the CP and quickly took controlled of it. Good exploit still.

A simple suggestion is don't crouch when you make the first jump. In fact, never crouch while making any of the stuff. It won't work. Stay in a stand up position while doing all of it.

Can u not just use the right click to rotate the sentry and dispenser rather than having to fall off? (havn't had the time to try this myself)

I confirm this works on ctf and cp maps on both sides. When placing buildings hold down the mouse button, makes it easier than a timed click. When placing the sentry and dispencer i find it works best if u tab backwards as u hear the beep from the invalid build order. Hope this helps :)

FYI to everyone: It's not patched, u can still put stuff up there by going clsoe to the ledge (aka falling from the ledge and putting a sentry up)

its not patched, Valve tried to patch it but this video shows how u can still go around there patch. There has been no patch releases from the time I made this video. So based off of today, the 23rd, its not patched

i loved all the other videos you posted but this glitch. . .its easy to get around a well sentry up there :/ theres usually 1 person who spends the whole match getting up there and by then its caused us to BE pushed that far back. cant say i enjoyed it as much.

well I do know of those players who just show off. Kinda found this exploit cause this dude on this one server wanted to get up there.

But overall its not worth it to get up there, although it does bypass Valve's patch, so I guess thats something...
