Picard is the BEST captain out of all...he's what I think about when I think Star Trek. I just started watching this program from the beginning and I'm going through it pretty fast. I'm on season 3 episode 19 right now so luckily I still have a lot more episodes ahead of me. I don't know why I never got into Star Trek sooner...it's a great show. Nice idea, but I think what made it great was that it didn't show any cast in the opening credits. That made it so that if you didn't want to believe it was cheesy, you didn't have to. When the Next Generation gets remastered onto Blu Ray. Let's hope the Lame, Original Opening Credits will get done over. The ywere Really Cheap adn Tacky. The re use of the Star Trek : The Motion Picture Theme was a Marketing Decision only. Itwas recognisable as being Representative of a new era of Star Trek. The Theme music needs a do over as well.

I remember seeing this show on tv when i was a kid. The first star trek series was memorable because of captain kirk and spock but any true star trek fan knows that TNG was the definiative star trek series.

For me it's become synonymous with Star Trek, I grew up during the time this show ran.
I think it was a missed opportunity to use it in the 2009 movie, since Spock was citing the lines from this intro at the end... :)

haha captured the characters faces brilliantly. i like the way picard always looks stern, riker smug, geordi a bit lost, crusher sighing, diana in distress, and data clueless.

Thats neat, but it reminds me too much of the ending sequence to Galaxy Quest.
The clip you used for Data struck me as wonderfully hilarious, for some reason. Liked it, though.

i remember watching this series with my dad sometimes. he was, and still is a Star Trekkie. its amazing how i new nothing of TOS. when i saw the new movie, i was blown away! im not a Trekkie like my dad, but i still like the series though.
