  • @randomfailures he did'nt he did everything by ear exept the voice (i think he got the voice soundtrack but not the instrament sounds and then played the voice along with the music)

  • Anyway I can get a copy of this instrumental?

  • Pretty spot on

  • it gets old after 14 seconds

  • hell of a song

  • Nice job! Don't listen to anyone who says this isn't good. It is. Most of the people on here probably haven't done something like this. Everyones so critical. I think it's pretty good. Keep up the good work!

  • SOunds like Homer Simpson

  • Did you have to move away from the computer to breathe in while making this?

  • I seriously did this all by ear, for all those people doubting me. I literally sat in the college union for like 8 hours doing it. All those notes are put in by hand. The only thing I dropped in was the vocals. I found the excelsior track online somewhere.

  • @metroidman22 How did you drop in the vocals?

  • sounds like homer simpson

  • @z5i You need your ears checked.

  • With GarageBand you can bring in a MIDI file and then re-do the voices. Ive taken a few free ones on the net and put them through GarageBand. It takes seconds to do and then record a live voice or pre-recorded voice over. GarageBand is really a fantastic program with so much creativity.

  • Can you upload the band file?

  • did u record the voice, please explain how, i need help with vocals

  • you just used the midi file i do it all the time for my gaga remix for techno same with megaman but good work took to secs;)

  • hey im doing a project in garageband and my two biggest problems are that i cant tie the notes together and there are areas where i need to change the time signatures on just one or two measures Do you know if it is possible to do either of these and if so could u tell me how?

  • as if

  • Could you post pictures or a vid of the individual tracks? So it's easier to determine what notes

  • hehe. when this first popped up on my screen i thought ""Ohh god." But you did a great job! this song makes me burst into laughter. Just a happy selection. Must've taken a lot of work to do this, but it's worth it! Great job! ;)

  • Sounds the same as the original...

  • This'd sound better without the vocals.

  • How do you make acapella's with garageband, From other songs !

  • You can't just pull the vocals out of a song. you have to find an acapella for the song.

  • you can use like adobe audition to get an acapella but it's not always godd results. i think tay uploaded the acapella available for download.

  • good use of midi, would of enjoyed an original composition though, it kinda is boring after it loops over and over again

  • I am jelouse!

  • Great job!!

  • Guys seriously, give the man his props. He's done this in garageband as you can clearly see from the notes seen through the editor and even on the main screen. Good work man.

  • Bullshit! You just downloaded a midi

  • Can you send me this song with JUST the tune/beat

  • watch the original first. you'll love it

  • hey do you know how to make accapellas from an existing song in my itunes via garage band?

  • ONLY A FEW HOURS OMFG

  • you didnt make this cus i downloaded the exact sae file fro liewir dude u freak

  • I can give you two good reasons how this could have been done without GarageBand and iMovie.

Fruity Loops (Or really any music software above Ejay) and Sony Vegas.

  • nice but, how did you do his voice?

  • he probably got an acpella version of it

  • @randomfailures he doesnt u can just import songs into garageband so he just added bits and took bits out and added some beats ;)

  • omg.....that is amazing

  • This video deserves more views than it has.

  • please could you email the voice please

  • god damn dude. good job.

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamnnnnnn

  • I synchronized this song with the real one and there is almost no difference!

  • how did you use imovie to film the screen???

  • he didnt. He used screen recorder-You could use iShowU, or SNapz Pro. Look up "How to get iShowU Free"

  • Yea, I used Snapz Pro X. An $80 Screen capture program from Ambrosia software.

  • i have that, but i cant get it to record anything

  • @Bloostalk i'm sure they used a videocamera you can see the screen border?

  • OMG THAT was insane lmao hahahaha how long did that take you to do, i have a frind to that is really good at making songs... lol but awsome!

  • how is this different from the real song? o.O

  • It's not, that's pretty much the whole point. I shouldn't have named it a remix to begin with. I was just seeing if I could get it to sound like the original but even better. Through YouTube the sound quality isn't fantastic, but the lossless file that I have is pretty good.

  • luv it

  • lol. are you fucking serious man? this is awesome. you are a gentleman and a scholar.

  • The Exorcist?

  • ??????????

  • i mean it sounds like The Exorcist's theme song.

  • yes it does..........why world why!

  • nice work

  • chocolate raaaaaaiiiiinnn...

  • LOL

  • i did that in school..........

  • not remixed, but remasterd is what he should of sayed

did you use your keyboard for the drum beats?

  • nope, I did everything purely by ear for this one.

  • props to you.

good to know there are others out there!

  • nice i do my remixes there to on garageband :D

  • Well everyone, this what I use to create my remixes.

  • LMAO

  • How do you make the chocolate rain the same tempo to the other recordings?

  • That was badass.

  • awesome, well done! :D

  • ummm...remix????not really

  • this is some heavy covering

    sweet job

  • very nice

  • it was good

  • good job

  • Did you use a special microphone for that recording.

  • he used the voice effects or he recorded the guy singing with his mic. onto gareband.

  • Thanks, but I was wondering how there was no fuzz in the background, because that's always what happens with my built in mic. But he's probably just using samples.

  • It's because you';re a fucking idiot

  • the pc version of garage band is mixcraft

  • yes plz send me this song thats so tight!

  • get a mac

  • its only $1,100 :D

  • *£399 in the UK, $599 in the US

  • where?

  • Apple Store ...

  • nuhuh i went & its $1,100

  • that's the MacBooks, look at the Mac Minis

  • oo yeah but thats only the computer.. you need to get your own monitor, keyboard & mouse.. but yeah your right

  • that's because the mac minis are mainly aimed at switchers rather than normal mac-users.

  • its comes with mac, you cant get it on PC

  • man i have a pc........

  • ah-mazing!!

  • can you send me your garageband project of this song?

  • can you send those notes from garageband to me?

  • been a while since i heard that dude

  • i like it!how'd you add voice? did you just sing in it if yuo did u have a cool voice lol or did u just put a song in it and if u did how did you?

  • too put on a song. you just go onto itunes and drag in the song you want. then you can effects to it like deeper vocals and all the others!

  • neat

  • How did you add the voice in this? And how did you send it to youtube? O_O I LIKE THIS SONG LOL

  • Im not hearing any diffrence. Make a durastic change. change everything but the lyrics/piano. keep those two and throw in some synths or.. some violin rythms would sound good...

  • Actually, the whole point was to make an exact replica of it with GarageBand and to make it as similar as possible. The name 'remix' is actually sort of a misnomer. I have thought about a possible violin addition actually. You'll be the first to know if there is a new version out.

  • Should have remixed his voice more and change the vocals around.

  • nice, but whos singing?

  • Tay Zonday.

  • wicked awsome dude

  • AWSOME!!!!

  • very sick!

  • There's not much of a difference, it's just the song with shitty beats. Great job, you've shown us the real power of Garageband.

  • pretty good

  • that is siccccccccccckkkk

  • you never answered my question where did you get the vocals without the music

  • try checking out pskull666, he is the one who gave me the link on his site

  • omg this is amazing. check out my beats.

  • I put in a lot of hard work for this song, i put in each note by hand.

  • wow impressive, musta been annoying lol

  • I know how hard and long that takes!! I only use garageband. Do you still have the acapela version mp3? I thought I would do a whole totally diferent remake for fun. You can see a sample of what I started on my page.

  • How do you put each note in by hand do u use that piano that comes up at the start? plz tell me

  • when you click on a midi track that you can create, if you go near the bottom there is a button that looks like a scissors. If you have the right track selected you hold down the apple key and a little drawing tool comes up once you place it their you can manipulate that dot in many ways, duration, volume, fade...

  • i know i use garageband too i hate putting it in like that lol. p.s. how do u synchronize an acapella with the garageband beat?? please reply

  • Wow this is pretty amazing. Where did you get the acapella vocals? I looked on the site for it, but I couldn't find it.

  • I asked around. Eventually pskull666 sent me a link. Thanks again to him.

  • Alrighty. Thanks!
