One would think that God, the freakin' Supreme Being, would come up with something a little more profound than don't lie and don't kill. Plus he wasted the first four on himself.
I certainly think your ten are an improvement. But. Due to law number 2. If a man walks into my house with a gun, I can't attempt to take it away from him. Because I don't own that gun. :)
Hmm. Good point. Probably the best thing to do at this point is to use the rule #5 loophole and don't accept my list. Instead, go with the Golden Rule. In this case, this theif/murderer is treating you in a way that he wants to be treated (he wants to kill you shows that he wants to be killed).
so these are my ten, i think they are relevant to todays society 1. do not accept belief without evidence 2. do not worship anything 3. do not work for less then a living wage 4. do not have faith, only trust in reason and logic 5. do not use any currency that is not gold or silver 6. do not love your enemies, or those who mean to destroy you 7. do not do anything without purpose 8. do not be ruled by anyone 9. do not give up your rights for any reason 10. do not enslave others
Did you brush your teeth this Morning, cause your breath smells really bad. Anyways, atheists are enslaved to their own limited knowledge gained in their own short lives, which they try and put up against the universe. It's likening to a baby saying "Daddy" for the first time. Got milk?
There are only about 3 commandments that are worth a damn and placing them on a plaque in public places certainly isn't going to stop people from doing these things.
Nothing about equality? Freedom? Nothing about youtube comments like "first!!", or "press 6 and something awesome will happen", or "I made 500 dollars a day, go to youreanidiot(dot)com to find out how", or quotes from the video seen above, or memes that have to do with arrows and knees?
Oh, never mind. It is a really good list. Unlike EmptyEyesAccuse I like that you didn't include "respecting belief". Respecting people is more than adequate.
I your #5 should be a bit more general about not making logical fallacies, and then in explanation part (the one usually not written down) go into the example of not accepting the list just because it was written down or because an authority figure says so.

@jillum89 But then again that man is doing the exactly what the number 2 said don't.
He took away your sense of safety, so I'd make it an exception that you're doing for self defense.

I'd add just one thing, respecting another's belief.
I'm an atheist, but I do think that we should be able to think and believe what ever we want to with out getting fucked with.
Of course religious people don't think about that, as there has not been a greater cause of death than religion.
Great list man (= Thank you for sharing!
