I don't think anyone really copied anyone... I think Kiss kind of defined costumed bands with the make up and all... Gwar took the ball from Alice Cooper and ran with it when it comes to "Shock Rock". Even before GWAR, bands like WASP, took shock rock to new levels. IMO, LORDI is a little more serious that GWAR. I've yet to hear anything from GWAR that I like, but their shows are great to watch...
