Coldplay are bigger then U2 already, every 1 of there albums have been critica and commercialy acclaimed and if you swent to there Viva la Vida concerts, you would know coldplay are better. Try listening to the songs that artist are claiming coldplay copied, they sound nothing like viva la vida and i can play Guitar, piano and drums so id know if coldplay did. and coldply lock em self in the studio with any music but there own so how can they copy other without listening to others music.

But they don't have the balls that U2 have, they won't put things into their songs that break any rules, lyrics are all pretty middle of the road and the music is good, but not particularly unique. And the new album had too much production on it (blame Eno maybe). U2 on the other hand write the music and words that matter to them, not the ones they think will please people most. As a result I feel they have done a lot more for music.

Chris writes the lyrics and the music for his albums, bono does the lyrics which is the easiest part of writing. Chris is an interesting person and he is not a wanker at all.
