@LynSkyn1981 The Skynyrd legacy. It ended when Gary Rossington went out on his word about a tribute tour and turned it into a permanent reunion, and then he tried to take Ronnie's estate. It ended when a group of six guys flood the band and they aren't even original. Allen Collins wanted Randall Hall to fill his spot and no one else. I liked Allen Collins' idea of the band being called Lynyrd Skynyrd 2. I just don't dig this whole thing man sorry. They aren't Skynyrd they will never be Skynyrd.

@LynSkyn1981 Look, you cannot call a band full of strays the same name you called the original band. I can't stand it when any band does it. I don't have anything against them, I just think they should be called Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band, or Lynyrd Skynyrd 2, or Lynyrd Skynyrd 2010, etcetera. Allen Collins was pressuring them to put the date on the end of their name so people wouldn't confuse the new band with the original, but after he died they stopped doing so.

@LynSkyn1981 No disrespect to founding member Gary Rossington, but he tried to take Ronnie Van Zant's estate. According to Gene Odom, on 10/18/77 Ronnie Van Zant said that Gary Rossington would stab him in the back the first chance he gets, and ten years later he did. But look, you can keep throwing your insults at a man who said nothing harmful towards you or anybody, but I have to tell you something. I would shit myself if I ever got the chance to meet Allison, Corrina, Melody or any of them.

@LynSkyn1981 Well that's awesome. I don't have ties that close but my Aunt Sue did date Leonard Skinner Jr., most of my family is from Jacksonville, Florida so I've heard a lot of cool stories. Anyways I don't have anything against Gary Rossington, Rickey Medlocke, Johnny Van Zant or any of the rest of them at all. I just don't think they should call themselves by that name, especially after the band signed an agreement in 1978 saying that they wouldn't out of respect for the dead.
