@1hotchocolate There are two ghost in the shell movies that I know about, GITS 1 and GITS 2: innocence. Then there's the series, GITS: Stand Alone Complex which is amazing, then the second series is called Stand Alone Complex 2nd G.I.G which is also 26 episodes of sheer brilliance. Finally there is a special 45 minute episode entitled Solid State Society. They are all well worth watching. Try and get English dubbed versions as the stories are quite hard to follow with subtitles. Hope I helped!!!

It's not an aphex twin songs, rather is a (great) mix of different songs with an Aphex twin style to it, the initial words are those spoken to Motoko at the end of the first GITS movie.

I have heard this mix since before 2000, sounds like it has become quite a phenomenon.

What do you mean by that first sentence? In most of his tracks he uses a 4/4 beat which he then delays, cuts, shreds and re- and de-constructs, but at the end of the day it's still a 4/4 beat. Often he even kicks in on the "1" of the next part after the "fill", thus keeping the 4/4 time signature all the way through even if it doesn't sound that way.

As in every count also has a kick on it (like most house/dance music)?
