  • I havent been able to get a streight answer from my Dr. How long do thyroid pills last???

or How long Will I live?

  • and how do we get these legally. i mean aside from infectioning yourself and going to the Doctor

  • Ampicilin is useless - almost the same therapeutic profile as amoxicilin, the better choice is to replace them both with co-amoxicilin (clavulanate protected amoxicilin). It worth to consider to add metronidazole to your list

  • I'm a big herbal fan, but you can bet your britches I'll have antibiotics too! Thanks for the suggestions. Have you discovered mywebrx online? Or do you use a different site?

  • PN, thanks for this informative video. But how do I get hold of these antibiotics?

  • learn how to make home made soap out of lye

  • How does one acquire these medicines? Isn't a prescription needed for them?

  • Great video! My wife is a nurse...all of the meds you talk about are the same meds that my wife has been hoarding. I on the other hand worry about things like security, water, and food. I think that it is important to remember that today's average nurse has the same if not better education than a doctor from less than a century ago. I agree with your comment on dental health. Even if you prepare for everything some people just have bad teeth and can easily die from an abscess.

  • Hi there. I'm new to your channel but I'm well on my way to watching all your videos. I have a quick question you may have already asked BUT ... since these meds are by script only, where do I go to get them for my storage and how long will they last? Do you have any websites you can direct me to to purchase? Thanks so much!!!

  • @Groovyghosthunter I have links to these on my website under ThePatriotNurse's Survival Stash.

  • @ThePatriotNurse i went there but could not find them

  • Doxycycline is also used to treat Lyme's Disease.

  • how readily avalible to the common citizen are these antibiotics and do any of them contain asprin cause i have family that asprin will cause them alergic reactions and they could bleed to death

  • Why do people assume that everything will stop when and if the "SHTF"? Would everyone really stop working on the basic functions of communities? Power, water, etc. Nothing wrong with storing supplies but I really don't see society completely breaking down to a everyone for themselves state.

  • @drake0074 They might if there is a riot. Densly population areas are the worse places to be during SHTF. NATO, our military or even law enforcement will go into cities that are in chaos and turn utilities off to get things back into control. Authorities usually choke off any hold outs.

  • @drake0074 Wouldn't you like to have a supply of drugs you may need when the hospital or drugs stores are empty? Greek hospitals are currently running out of drugs and our local hospital is running out of drugs. This is becoming a big problem and locals are starting to write their representatives for help. I can't see that helping when the supply is low or gone, it's gone until the manufacture can supply more.

  • Big problem. How do I get all of these? Can you provide them?

  • EXCELLENT information. I'm going back and catching up on all your videos. :)

Now all I need is... prescriptions for these? We have a FANTASTIC prescription plan here, which I should be taking advantage of before the SHTF, right?

  • The only antibiotic I know I am allergic to is penicillin, will I have any issues (allergy-wise) with any of the listed antibiotics?

  • i heard an interview with a doctor who claimed he used a 4:1 mix of common household sugar and cooking oil to treat wounds which were resistant to antibiotics. I have never tried it but the doctor claimed it worked miraculously well and apparently wrote an article about it in Southern Medical Journal. Have you ever heard of this treatment? If it works it could be invaluable for a SHTF situation b/c supplies of pharmaceutical antibiotics are going to dry up fast.

  • @xekul

Honey is a better choice for wound care. It has great antibacterial properties even for some persistent infections. You will find a lot of articles and studies online for honey use in wounds.

  • awesoem-I just sub'd you-I will be on youtube for the next 4 hours watching and learning from your videos-thanks keep up the good work

  • Nice videos. I just found your youtube channels...love it! Thanks for the work.

  • wow!! a real worker in the healthcare field is ACTUALLY recommending people go into the Sunlight!?!? Are you KIDDING me!! Are you.....Awesome or something? Im serious it seems to me that the whole healthcare field is telling people to renounce sunlight reinforcing it with stories of skin cancers and the dreaded UV radiation. Thank you! for thinking that sunlight is actually good for you and not advocating people start bathing in that chemical laden crud we call sunblock.

  • You should've really added cannabis. Great for plenty of things, and not just for getting high, and not just the flower, but the entire plants and seeds.

  • 3:00 to skip to the list

  • where can we get the antibiotics?, without a prescription

  • Also what is big worry lol we once lived in caves and survived we are survivors

  • Cipro was used to treat my great grandmother's MRSA infection. It is some heavy duty stuff alright! Works like magic. She was on the pill form for awhile but due to poor circulation they switched her to IV Cipro and within two weeks she was fine. It would certainly be in any prepared kit I put together!

  • haha she calls the shit poop.

  • Are Rose Hips wider on Female Roses than on Male Roses?

  • thanks for having the balls to post the supply link for pet consumption only medication :-) that really really helped, got to make sure my fishy and birdies are ok :-)

  • I watched a video, the guy on it said"blackberry leaves were good to make tea that would cure dysentery /watch?v=zDar04HCKr0

  • I do not stock any of the mentioned antibiotics. Instead, I have the means to produce COLLOIDAL SILVER. Standard prescription antibiotics such as penicillin might work on only a dozen or so of the 20,000 cataloged pathogens known to man. Broad spectrum prescription antibiotics such as cephalexin might work on only 20 or 30 different pathogens. Independent in vitro medical research had demonstrated that colloidal silver is effective against well over 600 different pathogenic microorganisms.

  • @hopeechangee Gee, then why don't doctors prescribe colloidal silver?

  • @cpovey1 Simple. Money is their motivation since they're all connected wt big pharma many doctors has abandoned their conscience so instead of curing the causes of diseases and preventing them totally, they instead prefer to cure the symptoms of all diseases so as to create a continuous market for their services and products.

  • @cpovey1 I would assume that doctors don't prescribe colloidal silver because pharmaceutical corporations cant make $ on a treatment you can make at home.

  • I'll have to get by with H2O2,apple cider vinegar, baking soda,DMSO and MMS. I don't have access to controlled substances.

  • Wow,this is a good video. And thanks to all who say get the fish antibiotics. That's how I found this video was from a site

  • WHere do you get Antibiotics from without a perscription?

  • @RRobi31729

    Mexico LOL

or you can order then online from offshore, like the Bahamas

  • Outstanding video! I am continually working on my SHTF stockpile, but had a question: I have been to the website which you described, "CalVet Supply," even though these items are labeled for fish tank or bird, etc use, are they safe for humans? Also, what quantities do you recommend? Thanks!

  • What about the dosages and strength of these meds? How can we know what is appropriate, too much or not enough, as far as taking there proper doses, lengths of time and strengths?

  • why so many antibiotics to treat STD's? like when SHTF IM just going to go sleep with a bunch of hookers. IDK but I feel like there could be better drugs out there to stock up on

  • @CoryThe411 lol

  • great info, although, be careful with carrying some of these medications because some laws prohibit being in possession of them. check your local laws, i can speak for texas in that some of these medications are labeled as a dangerous drug and is a misdemeanor to carry without proper labeling or clear ownership.

  • I hated it took me a year to find your channel. As someone in health care community, I know you mentioned infectious diarrhea, with that I would be concerned with C-diff and amoebic dysentery as well as a rise in MRSA. Things that will rise from consuming and or contact with unclear water as well.

  • I recommend Colloidal Silver for a lot of illnesses and it's cheap to make. I put it in my storage water to keep it potable.

  • Great info!

  • For more "natural" healing -

Vitamin C! Always in my stash.

Try dry capsules of probiotics and electrolyte drinks for tummy bugs. I pulled my BF out of a bonafide Swine Flu infection with sips of pure coconut water when he couldn't keep down plain water or tea.

Coconut water was used in lieu of blood in the Pacific Theatre during WWII - it has practically identical electrolytes to human blood, and many lives were saved during shortage there.

  • i have a bunch of amoxicillin for fish in 500mg tabs. is this of any use to people and if so what would be a reasonable dose

  • Love your videos! I am a doctor and I agree that a top 5 antibiotics list is going to be opinion based, but I would recommend keeping only 1 of either ampicillin/amoxicillin as their coverage is very similar and instead add Flagyl or Clindamycin for anaerobic coverage. Just my 2 cents, keep up the great work!

To mmccabe1977: doxycycline should cover >98% MRSA skin infections depending where you are in the country, bactrim would be a second option.

  • you willbe worth something you are Medical woman when SHTF you stock up medicine girl or stuff that can make medicine cause half the shit comes from plants anyway. Me I will stock up Vitamins and other things...

  • Thanks so much for your posts, from one nurse to another. Wish I could work with a person like yourself! (a lot of nurse are really dufuses). Thanks for making me think . ..about things I already know about ...but just didn't really think about. Your'e a great lady and a GREAT Patriot!! Will be seeking these out in my prep efforts.

  • This is a good, informative video, but we can't just buy these. You only get them when you get sick, and then you need to take them.

    What about antibiotics for animals?

  • @MsBMackn They're essentially the same. You can buy animal pharmaceuticals a lot of places w/o prescription.

  • What antibiotic would u recommend for MRSA?

  • Don't you need a prescription for some of those? Amoxicillin is not an over the counter drug. How about Penicillin used for Animals? I know you can get this over the counter at TSC and its made the same way according to several Doctors I have talked to. Also doesn't drugs after they expire have different side effects or weaken?

  • *advice

  • You could probably go down to Mexico and buy all of these without a prescription

  • How do I get a hold of this stuff for SHTF storage?

  • Mupirocin Calcium is also a handy one to have around for cuts and things that want to infect... It shows a fair bit of effectiveness against MRSA which is dangerous little beast.

  • I dont think Antibiotics are gonna help you in a heart attack like you said at 00:58

incase you did'nt know bacteria do not cause heart attacks.

but I agree Anti Biotics are important

  • I believe one of the best antibiotic creams is mibazon, i dont know where you can get it, i know you can get it in romania though :P according to my dad, it is a mix of many antibiotics was developed by farmers for their cows whenever they got an infection in their udder and didnt know what it. extremely useful on humans too, if i get a cut that gets infected, i put that on, and in 2 days infection is completely gone, it was even better than cosmetics and the doc-prescribed creams for my acne

  • This is very good information, the question that I have though is how does one get these medications for LT storage/prep? I can't go to my local CVS, Walmart or Walgreens and say I want 5 packs of zithromax without a prescription.

    Thanks

  • This is some great info, thank you for posting this. Its very useful.

  • Thanks for the great information. Is there an online site you can recommend for purchasing smaller quantities of these antibiotics (for fish!)?

    Thanks!

  • good info. Shout out from TN!... quick questions, the average individual doesn't have ready access to anti-biotics, so they really have three options: 1) get sick and don't take all the antibiotics 2) fake it and convince a doc for a script 3) something else.

SO, how long can this stuff safely store? Veterinary antibiotics? I hear talk of people even stockpiling aquarium grade fish-antibios... horrible idea/viable and if so, which ones?

  • @patriotnurse..first,thanxs for all the info on your videos, its gonna b very useful!! hopefully alot will watch these videos,im a former marine, special ops,i have alot of inside info from members still in my unit, and it is coming!! martial law and the fema camps are very real! just wanted to warn you and others being in suburban areas is NOT were you are gonna be,all the looting and killing from the ppl that are not ready will b rampant, thanxs again keep up the good work....aladra s.

  • Fantastic subject matter. This is something I never would have thought of. It's caused me to rethink some of my prep work. Thanks!

  • The diseases' carried by fleas/ticks (i.e. RMF and Lyme), will become very prominant imho due to the uncared for pet population that is sure to errupt (Bob Barker will be pissed). I would recomend stocking up on QUALITY flea & tick treatments for your pets as a wise preventative measure.

Thanks for your info...You just got a new sub!

  • Love all your videos. My question is how long will these last if I bought a bottle of each today? Thanks.

  • Thank you for this video. If the SHTF, a lot of people will be helped with your effort. You don't cover how to convince your doctor to prescribe these! If I asked my doctor for these scripts...he would probably laugh and call me paranoid!

  • Holy cow... were have your videos been all my life! ... keep up the great work.

  • On the Nurses Drug Guide.... is a pocket version okay to obtain? Or use a full version? Thanks.

  • Wow, I just found your channel- you're great!

  • Thank you very much for sharing this vital info maam! GOD bless and all t he best!

  • You could say "when the fecal matter hits the oscillating appliance."

  • @cutiger3115 I lengthen it, oscillating air circulation device ;)

  • ty

  • awesome. Great Job!

  • Another Great Video, Thanks TPN

Sorry I Can't Give this Video a Thumbs Up rating (But only because the ratings have been disabled)

  • This is why I only wash my hands like a nut at work, gotta build up your own immune system...... But how to go about getting them. All I can get my hands on is tobramycin gtts, no orals lol.

  • A crazy libertarian lady!!! Marry me.

  • @TheMango121 I saw her first! j/king ;-)

  • Is Doxycycline as broad-spectrum as Tetracycline?

You can get it for your fish tank, and it's the same stuff as for human consumption.

  • @ROFLpwnedvideos from my understanding many more organisms are resistant to tetracycline because of agricultural over use. Doxy is pretty powerful. After taking antibiotics it is wise to repopulate enteric or intestinal bacteria with yogurts as these antibiotics can leave you with resistant bacteria under no competition from normal resistant flora.

  • do you know make peniciline from the orenge liken that grows on rocks? i forget the name of the liken but i know what it looks like. its that orenge/yellow cercle type liken. if any one knows please let me know or refer me were to go to find out. thanx great info.

  • I think as far as possible eating decent food (if possible) some exercise and moderate habits will do much to keep one healthy. To treat what ails you, natural remedies are preferred, though some things need some type of medication to alleviate. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. "God does the healing, yet the physician collects the fee" Benjamin Franklin

  • @patriotnurse where could I buy large supplies of anti's without a script please let me know . I have kids and I want to be prepared just in case .???

  • man i just had an absess im tellin ya that suckss

  • What's your take on colloidal silver??

  • ...My Family and I have used "Silver Biotics" (found at your local GNC Healthfood store) for about 10 years now and it just WORKS.

my Aunt is a nurse and she came down with MRSA a couple of years ago Doctors told her she might DIE..We gave her a bottle of Silver Biotics and it KILLED the MRSA in a few days

i have used it first hand on a host of ills and time and time again its worked.

Research at BYU shows its BETTER than ANY of the top 21 antibiotics on the planet..go read for yourself

  • @Ooloosoon This is patently false. Your anecdotal evidence, although meant with the very best intentions, does not override several decades of antibiotic development, regardless of the BYU study I could not find. Usually, someone with an interest in colloidal silver marketing is behind misinformation in those areas. This is not to say that silver does have valid applications, which it most undeniably does. However, trusting silver as a panacea is unwise. Me: paramedic and medical tech FWIW

  • What plant can I grow in an apartment that is the best GENERAL plant for medication, IF YOU COULD ONLY PICK ONE, what would it be?

  • @edwardwills Probably lemongrass. Just me, I'm sure others will think differently.

  • Aloe vera, mint

  • Aloe vera, mint, general herbs

  • Aloe vera, mint, general herbs

  • @edwardwills oregano

  • @edwardwills Wild Oregano (vulgaris) from Greece

  • @edwardwills

Aloe, my choice. Not just for sunburns. Also very antibacterial.

  • @edwardwills marriquana

  • @edwardwills Definitly canabis :P

  • @edwardwills I think if you had a way to make colloidal silver off the grid (like a solar panel or something) you would be better off than trying to grow a variety of herbs. I would focus on that because C.S. can be ingested (to be used like an antibiotic), inhaled (for pneumonia), or used topically for burns and open wounds. However, I think it's a really good idea to have the antibiotics that patriot nurse has recommended. C.S. would not replace them for serious infections.

  • What would you use for a child who is allergic to anything that ends in "cillin"?

How about something I could get offshore or w/o a scrip?

  • Sounds like these are primarily prescription drugs . Not sure how id stock up on them.Even if i did have all them, I wouldnt have the ability to properly diagnose the problem. So basically, when SHTF there will have to be someone nearby with medical knowledge who knows how to administer.

  • Are any of those 5 antibiotics commonly used to treat Lymes disease? Sorry if I missed mention of it in your video. Nice job, btw.

  • Awesome info. Thank you. Specially for the tip on the reference book!

  • WE ALL ASKED THE SAME QUESTION, WATCH THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO. Pharmacy grade is fine. My birds and fish stay very healthy. Generics are fine.

  • PatriotNurse---I'm very surprised you didnt mention Colloidal Silver....They killed ALL viruses and bacteria with CS at a much more rapid rate than the leading anti's...They also proved that CS killed Malaria. Which no other anti's have touched... I've had a horrible staph infection for almost 4 yrs now and the CS is causing alot of detoxation. Currently the wound is about 60% healed...No other anti's have even touched it....Good info-Great vid--Thanks PN--

  • ok. how do we get them?

  • Where do I squire antibiotics?

I don't want to fight druggies inside a pharmacy while its on fire...

Thank you for the information ill print out my notes about this video

and keep it with me in my wallet ( :

  • Somebody has probably asked this but I can't read all the posts. What about penicillin?

  • thank you very much lots of info keep up the good work

  • you rock.

  • Thanks for all of your videos.I have a problem you may be able to help me with. Hypothetically speaking, where could one obtain safe generic antibiotics w/o a prescription? I appreciate any help.

  • Whats up with the shades?

  • Thank you for the great vid! How long should one store the antibiotics? Do they have expiry date and how would you deal with it?

  • I have experienced that those who shield themselves from everything get sick easily. I hardly ever get sick and I attribute that to the fact that I have spent alot of time outdoors and expose myself appropriately to "germs" and such. I don't mind eating something that fell on the floor or using door knobs.

  • First thing you need in any first aid kit is iodine tincture and a blunt syringe (the sort of thing for refilling ink cartridges); cuts just squirt it in close wound and cover.

  • I may have missed it, but what about SMX/TMP for gram neg anerobes?

  • I was in Kenya in 2007 doing some missionary work, and had Cipro. Well, I got travelers diarhea and cipro helped REALLY quickly. The stuff was amazing. Great video!

  • I don't know if you mentioned this in the video or in the comments but what is the average shelf life of the antibiotics that you talked about ?

  • How can i gain access to antibiotics?

  • The need for antibiotics and medical skills is one of the most important things that many preppers need to study more. I use herbs and natural methods. But in an emergency herbs are too weak and slow. You are really knowledgeable. Keep up the good work. Valuable advice!

  • I'm curious about the purity/ineert ingredient differences between vet grade antibiotic versus antibiotic approved for human consumption. Obviously obtaining Rx's for stockpiling antibiotics would be problematic.

I suppose vetrinary grade would be preferable to nothing in the event of an emergency.

EXCELLENT series of videos by the way.

  • Thank you for all your videos!!!

  • Good video. Can you review the Katadyn Survivor 35 or 06, produces 35gal/day and 6gal/per respectively. Does it work?

A fresh water source isn't available and some of us only have access to the ocean. A distiller needs a fire and takes too long. during my search I came across Katadyn's reverse osmosis desalinator. It sucks fresh water out of sea water! Also removes dissolved chemicals, nerve agents, viruses, bacteria etc.

    amazon.com/gp/product/B000F3CH 0I

    Downside! Costs $300 to $1800

  • thanks maam, its people like that give me some faith in humanity

  • How does the Nurse's Drug Guide compare with the Physicians Desk Reference?

  • Great post and sub! I had picked up a pretty good supply of Amp, Mox and I think I got some Doxy going into the Swine flu a year ago but I had also included tetracycline but will prolly need to throw that one out since it is now about a year old. I know that one doesn't store long.

I don't think I have seen Cipro and Zithra at the suppliers I was looking at.

  • Why would ANYONE get upset?

This is some of the best advice on youtube! Antibiotics are a backup system; especially if you're nutritionally deficient from Safeway being closed!

    Thanks!

  • nice teeth

  • i am alergic to amoxicillin what in your opinion would be a worthy alternative to this drug

  • What will work for rabies? My vet gives himself a rabies shot every year because he deals with animals daily, but if people try to survive outdoors especially down south there is a good chance of coming in contact with rabid skunks, foxes, racoons, etc.

  • @freeburg1998 - Nothing cures rabies except the immunoglobulin made specifically for it available only at a hospital. In a grid down scenario with no access to advanced medical care, you're doomed. With rabies, once symptoms appear it's 100% fatal. There is a rabies vaccination that you can get, (3 shots), but it's pretty expensive and you have to have a booster every 2 years.

  • @TrackerMedic Thanks for that post. I didn't know about the rabies vaccination.

  • PN - Are you likely to bug out or bug in?

  • @marieatthelake Depends on the situation

  • @marieatthelake Unless ABSOLUTELY necessary.. stay home. "Bug Out" = REFUGEE, plain & simple. If a nuclear plant near you has problems like the one in Japan right now.. yea.. get out. Otherwise.. try to stay where you KNOW where you are and what you have and can get. Bug Out is an LAST.. END OF the world resort.

  • How about sulfur meds what do you think on those?

  • Amp and amoxicillin are nearly identical in coverage. Amp is older with higher levels of resistance, more reactions, and requires frequent dosing.

I would switch amp for clindamycin. Clind good for MRSA which will increase with SHTF conditions. It treats anaerobic infection (coverage gap on your list) like puncture wounds and gut infections. Covers others like deep oral/dental/neck infections, vaginal infections/OB/toxic shock syndrome, and is safe if penicillin allergic. IMHO

  • @cprogers73 I would definitely add clindamycin and bactrim to the list. Those 2 are a little more difficult to find from a vet-med standpoint. I am kinda split on whether MRSA will increase long-term in SHTF, simply because many of the carriers of MRSA now will probably die off very quickly in a grid-down situation (thinking of chronically hospitialized patients and long-term care folks). However, poor sanitation could definitely contribute to a short-term spike in the first months post-SHTF.

  • @ThePatriotNurse I noticed on the site you recommended that there was a bactrim in a pouch that said add to water. I also saw metronidazole as well.

  • @ThePatriotNurse I noticed on the site you recommend that both of those are available bactrim is in a powder mixed with water and metronidazole was already in pill form.

  • @ThePatriotNurse I noticed on the site you recommend that both of those are available bactrim is in a powder mixed with water and metronidazole was already in pill form.

  • @ThePatriotNurse how can i get antibiotics are they over the counter

  • People, she refers to CalVetSupply..com in a tab at the beginning of the vid. You don't need to see your doctor or vet to get them. Just don't be using them unless you KNOW you have a bacterial infection! Antibiotics WON'T work on a viral infection!

  • Wonder what doctor would prescribe all these for "I'm fixing my SHTF bag, need 5 antibtiotics"? I already have doxy, cipro, amox, penVK, and a couple others but they're either exp, or getting close.

  • How would one get these antibiotics?

  • Patriot Nurse, How do I get my doctor to prescribe some of these drugs if there is nothing wrong with me?

  • Great information, while I can check the applications with some of the reference books I have do you have any suggestions on quantities to store? How much of the different antibiotics would you view as a baseline or minimum quantity? I realize that more is better up to a point but where to begin? Thanks for your time and experience, the information is invaluable.

  • You are amazing. Thank you.

  • very helpful. wish u lived next door to me. thanks

  • How does a person without a prescription stock up on these antibiotics?

    Natural question.

  • isn't Tetracycline very bad for people with stomach problems? I thought this drug is used to treat acne.

  • @XxUrSoLoStxX It sure can be...some folks get really bad digestive upsets with Tetracycline...Doxycycline tends to cause relatively fewer of those problems, and is indeed used for acne. Tetracycline may still be used for acne, but most of what I'm seein' locally seems to center around doxycycline. GREAT question!

  • I live on a farm and Tetracycline is comon for the animals. How long does this, or your suggestions last. (shelf life)

  • @Digitalmanne See my vid on The True Shelf Life of Drugs

  • Do any of these antibiotics need refrigeration to extend shelf life?

  • What are your thoughts on cephalexin

  • I dated a girl who was a nurse ....she wasn't nearly as smart as you are....:)

  • @Unlawfulplot Nah, I just got ya fooled ;-)

  • Don't forget Lyme's if you live in the Northeast (and elsewhere). If you go outside, you have a very good chance of getting it, and it may not be a quick killer, but it is a NASTY disease.

  • I love you.

  • thanks patnurse, any suggestions on where to acquire some of these drugs to store?...thanks again

  • mrsa?

  • Comment removed

  • i got a cavity how do i regrow my tooth

  • any idea on where to obtain these meds?
