His surgeries basically consisted of him wanted a more manly chin and cheekbones and having work done on his nose to have it smaller. Squarish chins and and more prominent cheekbones are more black features, certainly someone who wanted to become a supposed "white woman" wouldn't get a square chin implant! As for his nose I believe that was the result of insecurities from his childhood being teased with "wide nose" etc. A smaller nose curved up is also considered attractive (he went a bit far)

It seems like MJ was struggling with looking young, which he is not the only human being to ever go through this. He was also wanting to look like his mom. In his mind he was ugly, but it is not accurate. With his skin disease and looking like his father, to mj it was a nightmare, and with his fortunes he made the changes.

Good collection of photographs. I am an old friend of Michael Jackson from his Sydney concerts in the late 1990's. He used his twin brother as a double from the age of 12 onwards. The proof is in his ear lobes. Some photographs from his childhood onwards show longer ears and then smaller rounded ears. The Michael I remember had the smaller rounded ears. They also had different personalities.
Unfortunately I don't know which one died on June 25 2009 because I was not allowed to view his body.

He had about 2 nose surgeries before he did Thriller and 1 or 2 more after. He was diagnosed with vitiligo and since he was rich and could afford it, he evened out his disease by turning all of his skin white since he couldn't turn all the affected areas of his skin back to it's original color. And he had several plastic surgeries on his face, lips, etc. From 1982 to 1992, Michael Jackson looked like a completely different person on the outside. However it was still him on the inside. @LucidDivinity I've never seen an ugly picture of him. I've seen a few that were taken at unflattering angles, but he was not ugly. He was absolutely gorgeous. Even though he had vitiligo and lupus, they didn't make him look bad. He looked different, but still beautiful.

Good collection of photographs. I am an old friend of Michael Jackson from his Sydney concerts in the late 1990's. He used his twin brother as a double from the age of 12 onwards. The proof is in his ear lobes. Some photographs from his childhood onwards show longer ears and then smaller rounded ears. The Michael I remember had the smaller rounded ears. They also had different personalities.
Unfortunately I don't know which one died on June 25 2009 because I was not allowed to view his body.

@IvyElleBlack he had a skin condition called vitiligo which destroys the pigmentation in your skin that creates blotches of lighter skin around your body because there is no colour, which eventually spreads all over the body so the body is completely coulerless. Maybe he changed the shape of his face so he had White features because he was turning White. The reason he changed his nose is because his dad used to make fun of how fat it was. Hope that explains it.

Wow! What would make someone, especially someone as handsome as MJ, do this? He was gorgeous! He had beautiful teeth, pretty mocha colored skin, the most expressive eyes I've ever seen, a nice smile... as the Jackson brothers go, I would easily say he & Jackee were the most attractive. What did he see when he looked in the mirror? What was wrong inside that made him want to hurt himself in such a way. Its so sad bc he had such a beautiful face and such an enormous talent. Ok i am a huge mj fan i am touched by his music. Know for his face to be honest in my opnion there was no need to do so many surgeries on his face ok 1 or 2 is ok but over that that is just too much. He had about 2 nose surgeries before he did Thriller and 1 or 2 more after. He was diagnosed with vitiligo and since he was rich and could afford it, he evened out his disease by turning all of his skin white since he couldn't turn all the affected areas of his skin back to it's original color. And he had several plastic surgeries on his face, lips, etc. From 1982 to 1992, Michael Jackson looked like a completely different person on the outside. However it was still him on the inside. RIP MJ

Michael indeed did get a surgery done....plenty as a matter of fact...he hated his father for what he put him through since childhood and what did he see in his face...his fathers face so he changed it a lot throughout the coarse of those years and if u notice he almost wanted to be an erican caucasion because in the beginning he had african American hair nd in the end he was white with almost pin straight hair....I do respect him though he had good music R.I.P MJ

He looked perfect during off the wall. Thriller he looked really good . . . and during Bad he looked amazing, but almost like a whole different person. After Bad it really fell apart. He didnt have to do what he did . . . and I feel bad for the fact that he had vitiligo which I believe he really did have. He should have been more open with the public though instead of going through these changes expecting nobody to notice. It wasn't until he told Oprah in the 90's that he said anything.

ok he had about 6 nose jobs .. 1.1979... 2. before thriller album cover... 3. before the thriller video 4. before bad 5. before dangerous 6. after the charges...then it started falling off... the thing that really made his face look different is the stupid facelift he had around 2000...that made his look like a deer in headlights...
still love him though.. god put him here to show us that NOBODY IS PERFECT..everyone has issues.
