Thanks for pointing out that easter egg, I was trying to figure out what that big orb was for because I was simply not convinced it was just ornamental. Turns out it's a dragon chime huh? That's cool. Blackreach is by far by favorite location in Skyrim. -- 2 ways to get there: just follow the main quest and also you can go north of the College (at sea level) to find a tiny door on the northernmost edge of the map that houses Septimus who gives you the key to Blackreach.

I exited blackreach the first through tower of mzark and then went back for the nirnroot and exited through the great lift of alftand. Those two exits are so far apart lol nvr knew blackreach was that big

@atomiczombie101 Go back out to black reach and head towards the giant sun looking thing and you will come across some buildings the entrance is in one of them, good luck!

im not sure if anyones noticed but in blackreach there are rooms with dead ends in them but theres more behind the wall its in the market and gatehouse and i was wondering if anyone knows how to open the way through.

@atomiczombie101 There are 3 ways to initially enter blackreach (all require 'discerning the tranmundane' quest). The first is from Alftand (main story) the second is from Mzinchaleft (riften sidequest), the third is from Radblthar (assassin quest). The way I entered was from the final exit point from the elder scroll (Tower of Mzark). Hope that clears things up ^^;

@CdrRogdan ok so when you are in blackreach itself, theres the market and gatehouse what i found in each room was a dead end, a wall but when i use the arura whisper shout it shows that there are enimies behind the wall and on the map it displays a whole area behind the wall, the problem is tthere are no other doors outside to get around the wall and theres no leavers to open the way through.

all i know is that the gatehouse and market are in one of the corners of the map.

it's just hard to follow...appreciate the effort, but in a space that is so large with so little light, you need to be a little more specific as to how the jump from one root to another is made...thanks though!

Is anyone else still marveled by the beauty of Blackreach?

I mean the game as a whole is visually amazing but Blackreach?

I've never been wowed more by any other video-games environment.

Every time I come down there I feel like I should be seeing a bunch of people there partying everywhere throughout the undeground city with the giant Orange orb being a big ass speaker that echoes Trip Hop throughout the whole area.

The whole area of Blackreach is a perfect party spot minus the enemies there

This walkthrough is literally useless because you have not shown on the world map where the entrance to the underground area is that allows you access to get to black Reach.

@CdrRogdan You give directions using relative locations. Instead of saying, "to the right of this area...", you could say, "head North East down the stairs away from the Mzark portal. Walk South along the wall, and after a few paces you will see a nirnroot on the ground to your right." Relative direction is minimized, only using the character himself as the point of reference. Cardinal directions are prevalent, which are hard to misinterpret when there is a compass in the HUD."

@Dizztah Nope! There are definately more than 33! If you don't feel like searching you can sleep/wait for 10 days and the 'field' nirnroots will respawn along with the monsters.

oh my f***ing god.... had j'zargo with me in the blackreach and were searchin for the roots... then when i i finally managed to get enough of those after like 1-2h, then i realize that my companion has lost and gone! i try to search him, wait him, i clear the whole place again just for him but no mark... and cant reload the save.... fml

@TheCrazyrainbowninja The quest is programmed to recognize the transfer of one nirnroot at a time, which means if you dropped them all in a chest it won't give you an accurate number when you take them back out. To fix this take them out individually until you get 29/30 then pick up all the rest.

So the only reason I opened this was to find out how to get a particular nirnroot which it looks like you missed- On top of the waterfall across from the deep market there is one on top of a rock. For the life of me I can't find out how to get to it though

@Ev1scerate @Ev1scerate *Amused* But yes you can. There are 31 shown in the video and there is also a nirnroot by the wisps. It's next to the lake um southeast of the stairs I show in the video (I think). Alternatively if you wait/sleep for 10 days all the 'field' nirnroots will refresh, along with the monsters.
