@conewells you must have disconnected the source from which after effects was streaming the video from. did you disconnect your SD card or delete the original file?

@LethargicBannanazZ No. I replaced my original footage with "after effects".  then saved it. then for some reason I saved it again on the AE icon, and it was gone to MEDIA OFFLINE hell..

@XPDisease Well if you want audio while rendering hold down " and it will play audio. Although after effects really doesn't need audio since it is a compositing software.

@LethargicBannanazZ dude, I thinks he's talking about the dock, you should hide your dock menu so it doesn't show on your video. Preferences, hide dock, is very useful to use.

@Mathewly07 Which effect are you applying? If it is something you downloaded without proper licensing it could be a watermark.

And tutorials are only needed by those people who are too lazy to read a manual or not smart enough to use a piece of software. My questioning about software piracy was out of curiosity after seeing so many kids using expensive pirated software on a public site like youtube in full view of the companies who produce it.
