Dopest 3 to ever pick up an Mic!!

    FRESH for '88 you suckers!

  • Being a teacher Mr Parker ought to know there is no such word as "unrational". I think the word he is looking for is "irrational".

But still, I am not a successful part-time rap artist and school teacher!

  • @DaveWBedford No disrespect to you Mr. Bedford. But it's his rhyme so the word he used is the word he was obviously looking for. If he is saying (non) rational then I think it's perfectly fine to say unrational. Furthermore I would say that as a creative writer it is accepted to change the prefixes and suffixes of words for a desired literary effect. Writing rap lyrics is a form of creative writing. So, overlook it. Though it is possible that he didn't know as a young rapper.

  • I didn't realise KRS-1 (or Mr Parker to his pupils!) was also a teacher! Does anyone know what school he worked at in these days?

    Fresh for '88 you suckers!

  • @DaveWBedford KRS-ONE did a mixed media presentation at Broadway Hall on the Seattle Central Commuinty College campus a few weeks ago. The Hall is feet away from the Occupy Seattle camp. The presentation was amazing.

This word is overused, but for KRS1 it's legit: Legend.

  • Taking it 2 Da Streets wit Dis one. Still Knocking Hard

  • IT'S NOT ABOUT A SALARY, IT'S ALL ABOUT REALITY!!

This song STILL goes hard. Every so-called rapper should have to listen to this as some sort of pledge process or something.

In the 80's people had another mentality than in the 2000's it's no use comparing hip hop would never be the same it will change forever. But wath's sad is that nowadays people forget how it used to be that's how you get useless songs this days

  • i agree with mrleebo 123 the new genre is hip pop nobody teaches any more..i remember when lyrical content meant something and it wasnt strictly bout how much of anything a person has i guess thats the evolution of the scene i just long for good hip hop peace

  • TODAYS HIPHOP IS POP HOW DARE THEY STILL CALL TODAYS RUBBISH HIP HOP

  • @ChaoticMatters Is one of the most well respected and always hailed as one of the greatest rappers of all time underrated? No. Obviously not. Underrated means someone you like is either almost completely unknown or generally disliked.

  • @abcdefh1992 well I didn't see him on one of the top rappers list

  • KRS at the top of his game.... Probably one of the best ever imo.

  • Sucka MC's act like they dont know!

  • I only know this from top 100 rap songs from vh1 :(

  • I'M NOT RED,YELLOW OR BROWN I'M WHITE AND DOWN WITH THE BOOGIE DOWN,THEY SHOULD OF HAD KRS ONE BUSTIN A TAG

  • So this is where rap came from... it's actually not so bad. What happened?

  • @Rib5 The late 80's. When Hip-Hop and Rap became two different things.

  • KRS One needs to step back up and knock out these current rap frauds "in a second." The rap today is all about money, hoes, rims, cars, bling, blah blah blah. I stopped listening and still go old school.

  • KRS0 ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • got myself an uzi and my brother a nine.

  • I had that Jeep!!

  • yay! krs on the front page! i thought this day would never come!

  • Ah, good childhood memories. This is when I liked rap/hip hop. It was actual social commentary - not misogynism and antisocial self-hating lyrics.

"Talk broken English and drug selling..." Preach BDP!

  • back when jeeps and starter jackets where baller status

  • This Classic Song Makes You Think Very Very Deeply, Reminds Me HipHop Ain't Shit These Days.

  • gangsta rap <3

  • @blixensd ... no this is not gangsta rap.... he is teaching

  • @CaronAplus Gangsta rap is a genre of hip-hop that reflects the violent lifestyles of inner-city youth. The genre was pioneered around 1983 by Ice T with songs like "Cold Winter Madness" and "Body Rock/Killers." Gangsta rap was popularized by illustrious rap groups like NWA and Boogie Down Productions in the late 80s. :) Yes its gangsta rap ^^

  • @blixensd ... gangsta rap didn't come from NY.. it started out there in LA... like you said Ice T and NWA... how old are you.. I like to debate..so this could go on for hours.. but thanks for replying back.. its all good...

  • @CaronAplus the east coast wasnt really gangsta rap it was hardcore rap...
