@lampyish I don't have the unedited footage anymore. At the time I made this I didn't know there would be a contest so I didn't see the point in keeping 60GB of fraps files I'd never use again. I have been very busy since june so I couldn't record it all over again. Today is the last day you can enter. This is it, all we can do is wait till the 22nd and cross our fingers :D

@Niosus oh great! i know what you can do, put the finished video on the time-line and remove the audio channel by clicking it and pressing delete :P

then, you put the actual song on a new audio channel, and wherever you want to cut the video, press S-that will split the video in two exactly where you pointed it to split.

now, wherever you split, you can insert a new video between the two splited videos.

if you didn't get it tell me and i'l try to explain better :)

@lampyish I know my way around Sony Vegas very well and I knew that that was an option, but it wouldn't work. I've done a lot of syncing with the music (like really a lot, it's what gives it that "wow" effect). Cutting the video in 2 and moving it around would break the synchronisation and destroy that pleasant flow.

I'm glad you want to help but the long version wouldn't be anywhere near this quality :( that and that fact that the contest ended yesterday.

the actual song is 4 mins and 38 seconds, you might not get counted because of that. just saying

@MDxKayo I know. I cut it myself. When I made this I didn't know there would be a contest so I shortened the sond a bit to make sure it wouldn't get boring. Although I did cut it pretty good? :P you can hardly notice it.

I probably would've done differently if I knew it was for a contest, but I didn't know and I was too busy with other stuff to start from scratch. @Capnsquishy Maybe, maybe not. I felt that showing the atmosphere and mood fits better than just rehashing every piece of storyline. They clearly stated on the website that I could pretty much do whatever the hell i want (which I can anyway, I don't need Valve's permission to make this video). Also please keep in mind that I just made this video for fun and entered it for the contest later. A song is way more than just the lyrics, I made a video for that other part of the song.

@XMMM94 In Sony Vegas: Cookie cutter + a lot of feather to make the corners soft and some basic brightness/contrast to make the colors look better. Modern games are pretty dark, just a touch of brightness and a little bit of extra contrast can make it look that much better.
