Joerg, watching the slow motion footage in this video made me think about the footage comparing regular/tapered bands that you uploaded more recently. Have you considered revisiting this design, and adding tapered bands? I'm not sure if it would work in practice, but I imagine the combined effect would be pretty cool.

I cant believe slingshots are illegal in some countries. But in Canada we have been known to kill a deer with a 50 cal ball from what is the equivalent of your monster slingshot, we also use a compound slingshot, which is what you demonstrated in this vid. Very cool design.

Would,nt it be more accurate if the bands were just a bit longer so the pouch did not possible deflect your ammo as it traveled over the top of your sling shot?

What I mean is that "at rest", (for lack of a better word), your pouch is below the top of your slingshot, would it now be better if the pouch opened up freely at the widest point!!

Die Schenkel sind zu eng dafür. Aber keine Angst, meine Hand ist nicht in Gefahr. Ich verwende eigentlich nur noch Schleudern mit superflachen Gabeln, es ist noch nie etwas passiert. Und die Slomo zeigt es ja auch: Alles sicher.

The Chrony shows a speed increase by about 15-20% at the same draw weight. I can get about 90 m/s max speed, with smaller bullets. It is still too cold for record shots, under 10 degrees centigrade. Rubber needs warm temperatures for best performance.
