Gluttony was more of a clown in this series, wasn't he? Seemed like the only person he ate was Cornello. In the first series Gluttony WAS REALLY scary, since he ate various people and often asked "Can I eat him?"

Anyway, I figured there's something symbolic or whatever involved, since the series is full of references. Arakawa is a genius.
