@mdolphins771 Channel Catfish rely on scent / scavenging until about 5 lbs, after that they PREFER live / cut baits, but they will still occasionally bite on stink bait.

So if you're targeting a common bite, but not worried about size, a stink bait is a great choice. If you're targeting the trophy monster fish, go with a live or cut bait.

Hey teamcatfish or anyone who knows alot about this stuff. I really like it but I havent caught a fish on it yet. I have gotten an amazing amount of hits and bites with this stuff but it seems like they arent going for it 100%. I dont know if I am putting too much bait on or if the hooks are too big and its too much for the fish to handle. Can someone give me some tips on using this stuff so I can hook a fish. they always seem to bite hard and then i pull back to set the hook and there is nothin

Try a lot smaller bait. Cut a dip tube in half and string it on your line above the a treble hook. Try another location as well. Sounds like you might be in some small aggressive cats.

@WRENCHDOTCO It does, depending on where you fish, I use dip bait, and in high current rivers, I catch a lot of carp, in lake situations, I haven't caught a carp with it.

It depends how the carp are swimming, as a high current, they'll be scavenging more, and relying a lot off scent, which gets the bites.

i caught a 20 lb cannel using my bait so here it is,but trust me it sounds a little weird

1. cut a baitfish into little squares

2. stir in coolaid mix

3. put in ginger, cummin, and any other house hold spice

4. then put soy sauce, worschisire sauce and ranch.

5. let garlic merinade with bait for at least a day.

and trust me this sounds weird but its great bait....
