  • i love it..thanks for sharing

  • Thank you very much !!!!!!!

  • This is interesting

  • do u rock climb becos if u dont i suggest u start with finger strength and grip like peace and great vid

  • Wow impressive work out techniques.

I have these handgrip things. You put them in your hands and just grip and grip more til your hand is a single muscle lol and i work with Bo Staff rotation.

  • that's a hell of a workout matey, well done!

  • you can break your wrist with that 4:00 exercise

  • i was thinking the same! couple of potential wrist breaking exercises. some great 1`s too, but slip on that pole with all bodyweight forcing wrists inwards and ouch...........make sure cell phone on voice rec before doing these!

  • @w1ganchris

Keep in mind, if you do a bench press with 200lbs and drop that on your chest, you may have a problem.

  • Fare point BWC i`m just saying be a bit cautious. keep healthy :)

  • Some really cool tips you give here! I'll give it try. Im visiting the gym 3-4 times a week. I'll do it in the breaks.

  • Excellent work, very tough exercises. Thank you for posting. How often should you do this to avoid injury? Tried them yesterday and I'm still really sore hehe.

  • 2 times a week for two weeks. Three times a week after that.

  • fantastic tips thank you x

  • excellent exercises. I know a lot of 'ripped, bulked-up' monsters at the gym who wouldnt be able to do these.

    Great stuff

  • Simple - but as I never thought of it, praise to Paul Zaichik!

I am going to try this soon.

  • Let us know how it works out for you.

  • good vid

  • See more of cool videos from Paul Zaichik at ElasticSteel (.) com

  • or you could also just whack off switching arms so no deformity of uneven arms lol

  • Post a video of that.

  • haha

  • wacking off is of the devil, get a chick to do it instead

  • great video!

  • Thanks for your comment.

  • a bo staff is normally betwwen 5 foot 11 to 6 foot 2 a jo staff is around 4 feet and a hanbo is 3 foot

  • You can also add rows by using just some of the fingers. 4-6 feet bo staff.

  • Paul is using a bo staff. The blue things are yoga blocks. You can use any stick and any blocks, that won't break.

  • oooook, these look great, i will def use them to improve my grip for bjj. about 3 min in i was sweating, and i was just watchin....lol

  • Thanks for your comment.

  • Would 2:12 really work grip strength? It seems like biceps/pectorals, or maybe tricep as well. Maybe its a dumb question but i thought id ask.

  • I works the flexors of the fingers. A finger supported grip if you will. Other muscles work the movement, while muscles that flex and squeeze the fingers stabilize.

  • Those are some really tough looking exercises, I'd love to try them out some time.

  • How did they workout for you?

  • Haven't tried them out yet- my muscles are repairing from my last workout session (soon before that post), however after I find a stick, pole or some similar object with enough tensile strength I'll try it in a heartbeat.

  • i have a pretty strong grip right now. imma try this. :D

  • How did it work out for you?

  • Is the stick you're using just a wooden dowel that you'd find your clothes hanging on, or is it metal?

    Thanks

  • I believe Paul is using a Bo Staff. That is a martial arts weapon made of wood.

  • hmm....if it's a bo staff then its not one that i've ever seen before. i train with bo staffs for hapkido and they're tapered and have a decent amount of flex in them by design. i'm pretty confident that it couldn't withstand the force of a one handed pushup.

  • It's a heavier Bo Staff. Around an inch and quarter in diameter.

  • your good, thers some stuff in there that iv never seen, good stuff

  • Thank you for your comment. We'll foward your props to Paul Zaichik.

  • cool, I will try this

  • Let us know how it goes.

  • haha this is really cool and helpful =]

what if yu slip off on the push ups xD that would hurt haha

    thanks for the upload

  • Thank you for the comment.

  • Thanks Paul, excellent vid! Will really help with boxing..

  • We'll pass your props to Paul. :)

  • Packed with information.

  • That's the point.

  • Great video, lots of useful information. Well done.

  • Those are some awesome exercises thank you for posting

  • You got it.

  • i don't have a a bloody stick like that ffs lol..

  • These must be good for body tension too.

  • And here I thought I had fully upgraded by getting a gym membership..

    Thanks Paul

  • lol

  • not bad.

  • Great job

  • Incredible ! Another great video to show that you don't need to be in a gym !

    Thank You

  • Hey those chairs are from Ikea.

  • lol yea we got 4 of those too! hehehe

  • very nice :> dude :>

  • Kinda looks lame - heavygrippers will do the thing you need. The grip strength comes from the forearm - biceps excercises also train the forearm - so biceps + heavygrippers will do the thing - no need of this laughable ex's

  • This is comments is left here for people who have tried those exercises to give you a piece of their minds in response to your statement.

  • It's called freedom of speech my friend, even if somebody says something you are not in favor of.

  • you forgot to say hand strength... I've met construction workers that never done a curl in their live that have amazing grip strength. grippers are great, these exercises also good. odd object lifting, ropes, and sandbags are good also.

Good video. loved the one hand knucle push ups.

  • Hand strength added, thanks.

  • Hey, I appreciate th video, I learned some valuable techniques, I'm going to apply a few of those to my forearm workouts. This is a very good video!

  • Ikea seats are the best!

  • This is fucking brilliant! Great creativity in working the forearms and grip. Thanks for posting!

  • Fantastic instructional video, great work. This will help a lot!

  • the stick sold at Ikea also?

  • 2-3 times a week. Look at bodyweightculture forum, you'll get more answers there.

  • I would love to add these exercises to my workout regime, but I wonder how often you would need to do these a week to get best results? would once a week be enough? not asking because I don't want to do this a lot, but merely curious. This is something I could see myself doing daily, but I want to not overly strain myself.

  • ahhh those fingertip pushups you do are a cool idea

  • Really cool!

  • thanks man, nice video al-Hamdu-lillaah (all praises belong to allaah). i am recently very much into grip training and have been researching as many techniques to use as possible. your video has been a very valuable contribution to my research and i very much appreciate it. very creative and very hardcore exercises right there. i like it! by the way, a tip from me too... get yourself a REALLY THICK shipping rope and hang it over 2 bars on some monkey bars and grip it to do pull ups!

  • i have about 25 feet of shipping rope that's so thick i cannot get my hand around it (it's almost thick enough to put 2 hands around) and i use it for various grip exercises. shipping rope is a VERY valuable piece of training equipment for grip training, and now i can see a stick and 2 chairs are as well. oh, and the 2 rubber blocks you have there! nice one, and thanks again!

  • oh, sorry. just to explain a little better... for those shipping rope pull ups i just mentioned, the part of the rope you want to grip to do the pull ups are the 2 sides that just hang down from the bars so there's no need to even tie the rope! another thing you can do with it is climb the whole length of the rope without using your feet or legs, grip only! enjoy!

  • one more thing do you guys have anything for ur neck?

  • realy cool! realy creative! Im going to find a stick like that now so I can do these!!

  • nice job;) keep on!

  • Good Stuff

  • Creativity here kicks ass..... I love it! Thanks for sharing.

  • 2:14 that is a back workout, this is supposed to be for forearms

  • no actually this is "grip" not "forearms"

    and yes they are different

and there is no reason you can't work multiple muscle groups at one time, if you notice, he is only hanging from his fingertips

  • You can do as many times as your body allows it. As you get stronger you will either do more reps or will have to find a way to increase resistance. Another option is to switch to more difficult exercise.

  • man, i have to say that´s what i call a strenght workout, i have a question mate, how many times u do each exercice? i see u only do a 4 time series, but i guess u do it to get the whole video there. thanks any way, very good video.

  • Damn! Amazing whole body off of the floor.

  • awsome man I always wanted a thick wrist :D

  • I love creative exercises you can do at home. Thanks a lot for sharing!!

  • You got it.

  • Thank you guys for supporting the stuff that we put out.

  • Best forearms tutorial i've found [5 stars] very creative, and a good variety of exercises to stop muscle growth from plateuing. put a vid of your muscle forearms at the start or end to give it more cred in future.

  • Thank you for the comments.

  • very nice! 5 stars!

  • Thank you

  • it will come off xD

  • ive never thought of doing any of these.. a good grip in brazilian jiu jitsu it really comes in handy for submissions and submission defense

  • It does come handy big time. Thanks for the comment.

  • excellent

  • Thank you

  • GREAT! just what i was looking for. but do you know any exercises with less equipment?

  • Less equipment is no equipment. lol

  • Nice training, I'll try some of them =D
