Carrying out this logic would imply that absolutely nothing has any rights, and nothing should be treated with respect. Or rather, nothing NEED be treated with respect. All things have a beginning and and end. This is no reason to make what happens in between anything less the nexus of what it could possibly be.

Personally I do no consider myself an animal that acts out of instinct so on. Respect is a term that is earned not a given. I turned off of KFC after this. I haven't been there in about two years now, after being dedicated to their food. I only eat white meat, and for a while, it was my only fast food restaurant.
Well........until the chickens can live better lives before they are sacrificed for the support of humans or processed animal food, I'm not eating them again. :(
This is so terrible. Sometimes, until I'm given a little love or a reminder, I hate that I'm related to this cruel type they call "human". :(

im not forcing my ideals on anyone - no one is forcing you to watch this video. It is here so people can become educated and make informed decisions. My hope is that by watching this, some people may decide that they would rather spend their money to causes other than the cruelty shown here. I would like to politely refute your logic. You say "the chickens will die one way or another" and use this to justify the treatment shown here. All things must die. Humans too. Carrying out this logic would imply that absolutely nothing has any rights, and nothing should be treated with respect. Or rather, nothing NEED be treated with respect. All things have a beginning and and end. This is no reason to make what happens in between anything less the nexus of what it could possibly be.

There are only a few major chicken producers in the US. The same places KFC buys from are also used by Walmart, Wendys, and others. They are basically all the same... this is a hit job against KFC - basically they are using KFC's name to get publicity, even though KFC is but one small purchaser (grocery stores purchase much more). KFC buys less than 1% of the nation's chicken and aren't in a position to demand conditions from a supplier. All chickens are similar, KFC's name gets attention.

The campaign against KFC is indeed a way to get publicity. The general idea behind most protests is to get on the news. This is not from some narcissistic need for self-attention, but rather because by getting publicity you reach countless more people. Usually, the best we shoot for is getting people curious. Even when a person gets pissed off, they may look up what you are saying and thus inform themselves. If what you said was truthful, they can either go in denial, accept your rationale, or

My hope is that by a person becoming interested in the wellbeing of animals, one way or another, they will educate themselves on the issue. Ideally, they would come to a similar conclusion as i have and decide to boycott and fight this unnecessary and wanton cruelty (cruelty in all forms, beyond chicken production). But, i also respect that some people are truly uniterested.
