  • @flashyzebra CH isn't genetic. It's not something you can breed. It has multiple causes: prenatal infection, prenatal malnutrition , (more common in runts), prenatal poisioning, and prenatal injury.

Cerebellar abiotrophy, a similar condition is however genetic.

  • kitty wants to sleeep leave her alone

  • Awww, she sits like my CH cat does :) He likes curling up, it's the only way he doesn't kick around in his sleep.

  • @flashyzebra - Her mother was in the shelter at Staten Island. She was rescued by In Our Hands Rescue while she was pregnant. The cat gave birth to this kitten. So, sorry, this kitty was born in New York City at an animal rescue.

well then I stand corrected! I have a 4 year old who has the same damage - I took his mother from the street in the Bronx and he was born that night. I adore him. He has great difficulty with balance but he gets around. He has a terrible mucus problem - I've found giving him Lysine helps a little. He loves to be outside in long grass where he plays Ninja and it doesn't hurt when he falls.

I hope your little guy lives a long and happy life.

  • @flashyzebra If someone is selecting cats for this condition, then no... not OK. But that doesn't mean people shouldn't love and care for them when they're born with the condition.

  • your bothering her. she just wants to sleep you molester

  • Aww, she's gorgeous but why did you wake her? Their sleep is so important for them, especially as babies. Congrats on getting her to eat, though. Looks like she'll do just fine.
