Ciao, io ho finito Ico proprio oggi, per la seconda volta. Come tu dici a livello tecnico è un gioco eccellente (grafica, qualità degli enigmi ecc) e su questo siamo perfettamente d'accordo. Per quanto riguarda la storia, si, è vero, forse non è molto complessa, ma sta proprio qui il bello: una storia così semplice, eppure così emozionante; non so se riesco a spiegarmi, ma sta di fatto che rigocando ad Ico in questi giorni, ho provato le stesse identiche emozioni provate giocando

Perchè secondo me, più che la complessità della storia, contano le emozioni che essa riesce a far scatuire, ed ICO riesce a scatenare nel cuore del giocatore, grazie alle atmosfere malinconiche ed eteree del gioco, una vasta gamma di emozioni. Se ti riferisci in particolare alla storia dell'anguria, credo che sia un semplice diversivo nel finale inserito dai programmatori. L'unica nota negativa è che secondo me è un pò troppo breve. Scusa per il romanzo XD

Wander was the first of the horned boys that were mencioned in Ico, Mono is believed to have become the Queen after she was revived by Dormin [since Dormin never uses its feminine voice anymore after Wander kills the last colossus, it's speculated that the feminine part of Dormin was the reason Mono was revived]

Ueda: If there is a meaning, then it's Ico's dream. It's over, and it's really over at that point, but in the ship Ico is dreaming. He wishes he could see Yorda one more time. I guess that's the real meaning.

There you go, Ueda himself telling you the meaning to the end of his story. Yorda is gone. Ico is alone. This is not a happy ending. And you know what? I find it so much more beautiful this way.

Man i really hate the changes the made to the us version. The old cover was more artistic. No Yorda translation and the cuts of a ton of second playthrough extras. The game is still great but us americans certainly got the short end of the stick

@JMarsella9 Actually, stuff wasn't cut from the US version--that version came first. Team Ico had to rush it because Sony wanted it released earlier, so Team Ico didn't have enough time to include everything they wanted to.

But the Team Ico Collection will have the "complete" version of both Colossus AND Ico, so if you have a PS3, it's all good.

@invesibel If what you mean by "original" is NTSC, then PAL version is miles better. Two endings, an extra weapon, improved graphics, 2 player mode and deciphered subtitles so you can actually find out what Yorda is saying.

Y'know now that I think about it, Ico never really had anything to eat for the whole game did he? I mean he was expected to starve to death when they stuck him in that coffin to begin with. Not to mention all the climbing, fighting, and death defying jumps he had to pull off. He's a hell of a man to be willing to share some with Yorda.

To be honest the first time I played SOTC I thought it was a piece of shit, and I quite after the first boss. But after awhile I figured it was possible that I may have misjudged it and picked it up again. May I just say THANK GOD I DID!!! I was ecstatic when I found out that SOTC was the second game made in the series. The Ico series is now most absolute fav game ever!!!

I'm not a fan of games that you are stuck inside of a castle and running here and there with Yorda gets boring pretty fast.
