I just read "Tearing down the wall of sound-The rise and fall of Phil Spector". Lots of great stories. I didn't know he was such good friends with Barney Kessel's sons. He also put a gun to Leonard Cohen's head and said "I love you, Leonard." Cohen basically said "I sure hope so,Phil."
Hitler did many good things for the German people. Should we pay tribute to him as well? I'm sorry but I can't help from saying that it's time for Phil Spector's "Wall of Jail". Justice is finally served.
Nice video.Jay and the Americans never were produced by Phil however.I couldn't see that connection in your video. When the Crystals songs were on,it would've been better with their pictures or La la Brooks' shown instead of the Ronettes.Enjoyed your video and anything produced by Phil just the same. Thanks for posting.
great tribute, kinda amateurish, but the intention is OK!! For THE pop producer nr,. 1 of all time, his 45s are THE top of all POP, I mean the Crystals/Ronettes/darlene stuff. Hear that tight sound on He s a rebel!! God bless him and forgive him....
It is sad. Phil shook his nerd image long ago when he got involved with music. His technical brilliance and expertise intersected with rock 'n' roll. What do you get when you cross a nerd with rock 'n' roll?
Right, the MF put a gun in some unsuspecting, innocent, life-loving beautiful women and ACCIDENTALLY blew her head off. Let's look the other way because Phil made a mistake but nonetheless did a great job enchanting us during our young baby boomer years. RIGHT, I don't think so. Can you say 20 years!
