They sound just like Scar Symmetry when they released their first album. I'm glad this band is around because new Scar Symmetry just isn't as good as the older stuff imho.
Christian from scar symmetry made a very good choice going to this band and leaving Scar symmetry this is awsome the old scar symmetry stuff is great listening to the new scar symmerty sucks musics still good but the vocals suck.

@bl91978 Only, from what I heard of the album so far, better. I like Christian's cleans in Solution.45 even more then in old Scar Symmetry. His vocals in "Bladed Vaults" are insane! It feels like a combo of Morphogenesis and Symmetric in Design, taken to the next level.

@Beecels A fact that a lot of people overlook is how heavily christian produces the music. He couldnt do most of the tracks he recorded with SS live on stage because of the incredibly amount of layering and track jumping. But he is definitely amazing.
It's true his vocals are layered a lot and it's pretty obvious in most songs. But in a couple other videos where it isn't layered (like in that one Henrik B club mix video thing) he still sounds incredible. I understand that he and no other vocalists sound the same in real life as they do on recording but I just don't understand why he won't deal with it and tour anyway, he's still the best.

Melodeath, hell just any music with any screaming, needs a band that is amazing on all fronts so our music will look better to those that don't understand it yet. True, you get l il pussy emo kids making anime with SS music (which is a crime against humanity) but to have positive things in life you have to deal with some negatives. Besides, justice is served in the mosh pit :)

Melodeath is a great style... but it's superficial. I recognize I love it, every time I listen to a new melodic death group, I cannot stop... it's like a drug.
but, as I said, melodeath music does not give to me anything: I found a similar group to this, called Zonaria (see Rendered in vain) and I forgot it after a week...
Melodeath life flows fast and arrived early to the sea.
@reirseeslomasserio I guess it depends on the lyrics. Alot of christians songs deal with spirituality and positivity so I got no problem listening to it for months and years at a time. But i do know what you mean, just think that scar symmetry and solution 45 are some rare exceptions.

@wilsob26 If SS woulda stayted together obviously they'd got a lot bigger, but that isn't all too bad. Melodeath, hell just any music with any screaming, needs a band that is amazing on all fronts so our music will look better to those that don't understand it yet. True, you get l il pussy emo kids making anime with SS music (which is a crime against humanity) but to have positive things in life you have to deal with some negatives. Besides, justice is served in the mosh pit :)

@wilsob26 I used time ago a scar simmetry song for a music video with the movie of wolverine (x men origins) ,I have a different opinion,I like to see music with anime if the amv is made good ..however with movie is better in every way,and scar simmetry's songs isn't adapt for anime video (like slayer,pantera and other extreme band)

Basically what you're saying is that a band should remain in the underground without being recognized for the hard work they put into their art. I adore both S.45 and Scar Symmetry, and let's face it, this mans voice is amazing, but I like the two vocalists from SS now since they can do amazing stuff life, I saw'm on graspop 2009 and I was amazed. Also, I can't wait for Universum's new album with Christian as guest!!! Amagawd!!

Melodeath is a great style... but it's superficial. I recognize I love it, every time I listen to a new melodic death group, I cannot stop... it's like a drug.
but, as I said, melodeath music does not give to me anything: I found a similar group to this, called Zonaria (see Rendered in vain) and I forgot it after a week...
Melodeath life flows fast and arrived early to the sea.

@reirseeslomasserio I guess it depends on the lyrics. Alot of christians songs deal with spirituality and positivity so I got no problem listening to it for months and years at a time. But i do know what you mean, just think that scar symmetry and solution 45 are some rare exceptions.

@reirseeslomasserio to compare this to zonaria is silly man. This has great lead work on the guitar, the songwriting is far more detailed and the vocals go clean. Zonaria is extremely one-dimensional in comparison.

Dou you have any idea how much time pianist or violinist have to study, my friend? Almost half life.

And bands aren't good because they have some good song, bands good if someone forms a positive opinion of them, and then to them makes them good. Same thing makes a band bad if someone forms a negative opinion, it becomes bad to them. Which is stupid

as a scar symmetry fan, who got the new cd without christian I can safely say that they are still a decent metal band, however it also has to be said that whatever band christian in, is where the EPIC talent is at, the man's voice is like a fucking orgasm in musical form.
