for me, one of the more memorable moments of the game was when this song "flight" played and maria was running through the corridors to get to her gear.

@dapithapon Or maybe she has magnetic shoes on? That's probably why she's the slowest character on foot...I can't use her outside of Gear battles, because she often gets killed before it's her turn.

You know, I think Maria is 13/14... Yeah, I know, she has a baby face but she's a young teenager, not a kid.

Same thing for Margie, she's 16.

Yeah, about Maria... she sure didn't get some lame robot. Daddy was generous. And about how she's able to stand on Seibzehn... don't know... I just imagine she isn't really standing on it (how could she anyway... realistically ?)... the robot have a special cockpit on top of its head or something.

mai and leupold (xenosaga).....

both have similarities to the mech and their father's relation to it

yet, both games are totally unrelated to each other (considering the fact that they both have different companies, yet same developement staff workers with similar ideas)

xenogears - best game in 90's

xenosaga - best game this 2000's, yet totally in an "Alternate Universe" of xenogears (a timeline/world/event that never existed in xenogear's story)

She was on top of the head for only certain cutscenes, I believe, but in battle, she's inside Seibzehn.

Nope she stays on the head the whole time even in battle. You can see her if you look close enough.

Sure, her gear is quite powerful, but I'd love to see anyone try to beat the game with Maria in the party all the time. Talk about opposites attract!

When I first got her, I was like, "Hmm, well I've seen her gear in action..Let's see her deathblows! Wait, what? She doesn't have any?"  I used her to kick Ramsus' butt in that weird gear later in the game, right before Miang, I think. Yeah..Best character in my opinion? Chu-Chu. Haha. Well, she could be the best Gear and all, and heals the frame hp for cheap EP and all.

Are we supposed to be glad that Maria's reincarnation, Mai Magus in Xenosaga III, is just as pathetic as Maria was on foot?

She was quite the looker in 3-D though.

I like to think Xenosaga was pre-Gears for some reason. She wasn't that pathetic, in any way, she was much better than Maria. At least she didn't blow bubbles.

Well, in gears, Maria was great. On field though, she couldn't really didn't much, minus being able to summon Seibzehn. It's always been fun seeing her stand on Seibzehn's head though.
