Most animals will start eating their prey before they're totally dead, and many will eat them alive, with the prey dying by suffocation or by being digested, which can take a loooong while.

I have never eaten frogs in Japan before. Actually I've never seen restaurants serve frog dishes. But I think we Japanese have to eat these American Bullfrogs more often until they go extinct in Japan, as they threaten Japan's ecosystem unfortunately. Honestly, the food is most likely very good and healthy for you, but I would never have the heart to eat the poor thing. The food market around my house sells turtles and frogs and all types of live fish in tanks. I feel horrible looking at them all. But then on the other hand we don't pick on pigs and cows. So what sets these frogs and dogs apart?
