  • adorable! I have a pregnant cat (stray) who may need help with her kittens (she's having them in my house or yard), and this video was very educational!

  • thankyou for posting this video but i'd like to thank you more for the great description. we have just taken on a three week old kitten and i'm sure we will find your tips helpful...

  • @SpikeMilliagansGhost No problem! I know it is a lot of reading but I hope it is helpful to you!

Good luck with your kitten! :)

  • @whitney0989 just a quick update. he is doing REALLY well and everything has worked out just fine.

    thanks again,

    peace and love,

    Spike...

  • egh okay 1 big thing about this is that is very very dangrouse to leave the kitten sitting in a basket on a railing that kitten if it fell you NEVER would have saved it's life again it would be to injured just saying I been Volunteer with helping Animal OutReach since i was little well famly has but was to young then but saying 15-16 years and that i know as a fact kitten could have climbed out in a blink of an eye

  • @BellaSaraBeara For one: the railing is not that high, and two: kittens are pretty durable. I raised cats when I was young and a lot of times kittens would fall out of the hay loft onto a wooden floor (which was A LOT higher up than the railing on this deck,) and they would be just fine. If this kitten did happen to tip over it would have either landed in the soft grass or on my lap because I was sitting right in front of the him.

  • MINE IS 3 WEEKS OLD AND WONT TAKE SOFT FOOD AT ALL WHAT DID YOU DO

  • @bradleysjlb You should read my description. It explains how I bottle fed the kitten and where I got the formula.

You could try feeding the kitten the kitten formula and the dribbling some on soft kitten food.

Recently I had a kitten that didn't need kitten formula anymore but still wouldn't eat regular kitten food so I got the mushy kind that you buy in a can. She ate that, and I eventually mixed the can food with the hard kitten food to get her to eat it.

  • @bradleysjlb TALK IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE YOU GET NOTICED EASIER!

  • @bradleysjlb idid that she drinks from bottle fine she just isnt taking solids even soft stuff i mushed up kitten food super soft and soaked in the kitten formula and she wont eat it i put some in her mouth and she spit it out and tried suckling on my finger she refuses anything but the bottle but she is geeting hugry because its not filling her up. do you think it would be okay to put mushy stuff in bottle until she get used to taste

  • This cat can normally drink milk!! is big enough...don't understand why you're feeding him this way

  • @Auricchia I tried giving him regular kitten food and kitten food soaked in milk but he did not eat it. Regular milk doesn't have the nutrients that kittens need so I had to get kitten formula. He was too young yet to eat regular food. He didn't know how. After feeding him like this for a few days I would sprinkle this milk on the kitten food and he would eventually start eating.

  • funny and cute at the same time

  • soo precious

  • I'll try this. That kitten looks just like one we're taking care of. Though, this one's hair is longer and he's smaller. I'm thinking he might be a long-hair.

  • aww!!!

  • soo cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!♥

  • *cutest

  • U have the cutesy kitten in the world!!! :3

  • Awh! Cute kitten :) plz check out my cat! Type in "My cute kitten named pumpkin" then a calico cat shows up

  • thats a cute kitten

  • So cute i will try this technique . . . my kitten is fighting the bottle more than sucking it

  • @1chrisTbrown The same thing happened with my kitten. They make it look so much easier in pictures and vet videos.

It just takes time and patience. :]

  • what a messy eater

  • This didn't teach me jack shit.

  • @Shinzu92 Well did you even read the description? It explains all that I did in there to get it to work.

  • @whitney0989 oh, thanks but I recently started weening my cat off of the bottle.

    BTW my cat is CUTER.

  • @Shinzu92 Oh ic :] What kind of color kitten do you have?

  • @whitney0989 He's black and white and he has this black patch over one eye and other eye is white :3

  • Soooooo Cute!!!!!

  • Sometimes if the kitten wont take the bottle you just have to put in in her mouth and squirt some milk in there..it is better to kinda make her drink rather than let her starve..pay close attention though to the directions on the milk formula. You don't want to overfeed the kitten. I cant remember how many times a day I fed her. It will say how many times though or how much to feed per day on the kitten formula box. Read my description for this video for further details.

  • When I had the kitten it was really hard to get her to bottle feed at first. I found it much easier to put her in a basket like the one in the picture and have her level to my face/neck area. Occasionally I would put the bottle up to her mouth and when she would open her mouth to meow I would put the bottle in quick and drip some milk into her mouth. After a while she got the hang of it. Sometimes she would chew a lot on the nipple and it would tear a bit.

  • I have a kitten too! Please give me tips on that.

  • Aww, well done. :)

  • @WildcardHatesYou

    Thanks! :)
