hello out there world .i just came home fron seening the movie " Country Strong" Dam it was amzing and great . am a country and country rock drummer for 26 years. and the past 3 years i havent been drumming but it is still in my blood and am ready to go back traveling and drumming my life away. i hope that some good singing out there will pick me up and give my life enjoyment so i can do what my heart and soul loves to do . Gwyneth Paltrow is amazing - and after you see the movie once, you want to see it over again, and again. Toward the end, the movie builds up a lot of excitement - you'll see.

I like how she sings. A lot of women's voices in country today are just so abrasive, real howlers. I like the older ladies better, the singers and crooners, like Lynn Anderson, Bobbi Gentry, Patsy Cline and, even though when I was young I didn't appreciate the gift for the twang, Loretta Lynn. Currently the alt country ladies are the only ones actually singing, not belting out lines. But, like other have said, Vince Gill pulls it all together. Did he write the song?

Her voice is adequate but that's it. Had they gotten a REAL singer to do this song it would have been much better. And all the acting, dialect and singing coaches that helped her couldn't make her sound country. Though having Vince Gill singing backup helped A LOT. There's just nothing country about this girl. What a ridiculous vanity project for her.
