  • I've never seen a fan shroud like that before? is it for a T3?

  • @herbienbrian yes thats what its for.

Im the proud owner of two :D

  • when i had this built, i asked for a "mild" build....i wanted a blend of mileage and power.... it was awesome!

  • thats awesome

  • and my 7 second notchback had one of those too

  • Can I have this for my '70 Rustback???

  • I think you can do better than this.

  • anyone got a webcam

  • Yea!!! T3!!!!!

  • Heay there. I have an application that requires 80-100bhp at 2500average-3000 max rpm no more hp, no less. I'm new to the VW engine building world. Does any one have sugestions on cyl, stroke, cam, and head selection? I haven't decided to go carb or fuel injection. Thanks for the help.

  • Will this be for aircraft use?

  • 1835ccm Cyl.

    W100 or W110 Engle cam

    lightered flywheel (about 2kg)

    higher compression 9,5:1

    And a lot more.

You can find a lot more and better info on the Internet.#

If you use the original D-jetronic injection change the computer. You can use the one of type 4 1800ccm version.

A extern oil-cooling system (fullflow) is required.

  • order your engine from gene berg, strictly foreign, if you haven't built yours already, make sure to take into account the different expansion rates of different blends of aluminum when refering too aftermarket parts.

  • No offense , but you don't know what you're talking about, strictly foreign's rep is in the crapper, and have you looked into a turnkey from Berg lately?

    Just asking?

  • berg makes the best aftermarket air cooled parts hands down, you get what you pay for. every air cooled should run there counter weighted forged crank, strong as hell and no flex up to 8k. If you can find his old cranky ass look up Jerry Burck up in beavercreek oregon. have vids from 91' showing a 67 t1 "Midlife Crisis" chop top running 11.12 from a 1835 with 48ida's at 8:1 he built. block had 200k before street/strip build and continued under daily thrashing untill the 370k after the re-build.

  • what type of carbs are in that engine its an original 1600 bored right?

  • stock. solex 32-34 PDSIT

Engine is a 1776, look at the headline

  • Dang, I miss my old Squareback. Nice looking motor.
