It depends how you feel about living and the way you want to live it. Individual prosperity would be ideal through capitalism. If you want your neighbor to have the exact same pay, opportunity and life style as you do then you are for communism or even socialism. Personally, I don't mind working hard to make a decent living. However, if someone can present to me an effective plan to take this government in a different direction by all means I'm all ears.
Democracy can also coexist with a socialist society. I bielive in a libertarian view of indivividual rights allowing people to do what they want short of hurting others, and, an economic system where personal profit is allowed but the powers that be also provide oppurtunity and security to the poor and those unable to make a living for themselves. As this part of society will always exist. God Bless America..but god bless the world as well
