I can't see how this can be fake.  If you watch very carefully, you can see the damn ball go into the hole. The ball hit behind the hole and spun back in. By the way, "Peter Hayes" is a reference to the little Par 3 Peter Hay course across the street from the pro shop where you must hit a lot of wedge shots; playing Peter Hay will help your wedge game. The man behind the camera meant to say Peter Hay, but "Hayes" slipped out.
