I have seen everyone from 7 to 1 (But not number 2) and I love them all, but if I made a sequence with them seven, Spirited Away comes like number seven, And `Whisper Of The Heart´ comes in the list too.

Grave for the fireflies is the most SADDEST movie I have ever watched. I dont ever cry on movies, but this one makes me cry every single time I watch it. Idk why it doesnt have any awards and america hasnt discovered it yet. Super Sad. Love the movie tho.

Grave of the Fireflies is so sad. My friend asked me for ghibli films to watch, and I wanred her it would be sad, afterwards she told me it was so sad, and then I managed to break into tears again when I explained the beginning cos she hadnt realised it.

Fist of the North star was the first anime I saw as a kid. So it will always be number 1 to me. I remember renting it at Hollywood video and being amazed by the violence and blood in a cartoon. Been hooked on anime ever since.

If you really like Spirited Away, you should try "Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below" (aka "Children Who Chase Stars"). It's not Miyazaki but it's has some setting similarities and is an incredible movie. I love Miyazaki, but I loved that movie even more than his work. Makoto Shinkai outdid himself.

Fist Of The North Star and Ninja Scroll do have a manga series, so in my opinion they shouldn't be listed in this if the movies in here are supposed to not have any related series.

And I think you underrated Princess Mononoke, but is your opinion -I'd put Kiki Delivery Sevice, and changed Akira by Nausicä. Then I'd taken off FOTNS and NS, to let Akira stay and add The Cat Returns. But that's just my opinion :)

Spirited Away is usually the best for everyone. It is my favorite Studio Ghibli film. Followed by Ponyo and Howls moving Castle. I was glad to see you mention Akira though, often forgotton by modern day anime fans, great film with a very distinct story and art style. Nice list, couple were obvious but still all great films.

There are some movies definitely not aimed towards children listed, and the other movies that seem they may seem to be aimed towards children, can be looked at from a different point of view of its many angles, and be seen with its true intention. :)
