  • Hi... thanks for the tutorial I have had my G6 for a few days and it's great but it looks like there is no way to record to the sequencer the muting as a recorded performance? am I wrong ? When I do record it records all parts even then I've had them muted.

  • hello,

wich effectnumber do you use for change the sound with the knobs??

  • Thanks a lot Artemy for your work. I have a question about the mute and all the things you did in this video: can I record the mute and all that?

  • Thanks

  • tnx man

  • i Have 2 questions if you don't mind :

    1. The Part or patch Sw/Sel (switch/select) what does select used for ? i know switch is to switch between the 4 layers of the patch, right ?

    2. can i control more than one knob at the time but one of them is by using the USB mouse through the screen ? and the other one a normal knob located above the sliders ?

    Thank you very much :-)

  • 1. Yes, in patch mode the pads switch and select the 4 patch tones.

    2. Never tried this, but it should of course work since you can do this with the value dial on the screen and knob/slider in your hand.

  • Thank you very much, i really appreciate your effort

but it is just that tinny thing, you mean that select is used for choosing the patch on that layer for example ?

i dunno why is that point taking so much from me to understand ? thank you anyway

  • I just want to tell you that I am going to get a rolang G7 in the next few weeks, I listened to the demos off that sine thingy site, one of the demos of the sounds was really good, I just wanted to tell you that you are a very talented man and an inspiration to me

  • Thank you very much for your kind words! The G is a very powerful board, lots of features inside and is still pretty easy to use.

  • Great Video and great Synthesizer for sure,

i want to ask you, did you create this song or it's a demo from the manufacturer ?

and if you created it, can you tell us how through a video or comment at least ?

    Thank you

  • This is not a factory demo. I made both the song and all the sounds used in it myself.

  • how about a fantom-X groovebox tutorial?

  • can i use the pads to play drums in software like ezdrummer and fl studio?

  • Yes, of course. Pads are multi-functional: you can trigger drum kits, sample sets, sample loops, your own sequenced beats, and so on. The part/track switch and mute are additional functions.

  • thanx..and do u know if it has any indian/ethnic sounds built in?

  • Yes, sure, it has Tabla kits, as well as Sitar and Dulcimer sounds with great quality. And you can load any sampled instruments into it as well.

  • Artemiy are you by any chance russian? :D

  • Ну что-то вроде того :-)

  • So you're ukrainian, that's even better, me too :D (But I live in another country)

  • Nice to meet you! So where do you live now?

Steve Cooke aka 'comradec' on Roland Clan

  • Very nice tutorial! Especially for being only 3:21 long ;-)

    Keep doing this!

    Grtz...

  • thanks man =)

I get my G8 tomorrow and this video will really help me out =)

keep up the good work =)

  • Very nice video Artemiy! In my opinion is too much plastic in sound and nothing new ( MC 808 , X6 G6 it's the same)

  • Glad you like it! But, perhaps your headphones are speakers are plastic, would never think of this in the sound character. And yes I have had X6 and G6 side by side and G6 sounds one level above. 808 and X6 are great machines nonetheless, it's just the G is the next generation in many respects.

  • Groovy video, thanks Artemiy!
