@stephenleighum Its about when Daron Malakian (singing, lead guitar) would go and visit his relatives in Iraq (Babylon is old world Iraq) when he was around 14. In summer its hot inside Iraqi homes so many people would sleep on the roof of their homes to keep cool. When there was trouble and stuff in Iraq back when he was a teenager he was with his parents back in California and he worried about his relatives in Iraq. Thats what this song is about.
