  • Nasa is ignoring all qeustions about planet x and if no one else has the brain to get the word out I will.everyone should know

  • wow that plane looks awesome... nice video....

  • To all of those who so "suddenly" wonder why the space shuttle is going to be no more: Back in around 2002, a guy named GW Bush (who obviously had better uses(wars etc) for the money spent on the space shuttle),ostensibly tried to find ways to reduce the cost of STS operations. About a year later, he got golden opportunity to eliminate the program. So he (again) ostensibly ordered the program replaced with another program. Unfortunately, he purposely underfunded it--dooming it failure.

  • To Zeus; need to go back and get your facts straight, it is not current administration that started this, it was the last Bush that was in office. He sunk the US space program. Why? Because he never had any ambition to do anything but what he could do for himself.

  • The space shuttle program has been a real treat as the nation enters its twilight years. Of course man will continue to explore the heavens-- unfortunately since America choose to spend it money on useless wars and trinkets, we will not be part of that future. Of course I wish I was wrong, but when a significant part of our population is so undereducated as to truly believe that the budget deficient was caused by NASA-- then it is what it is.

  • Typical !......you wait on a jet....then 6 appear all at once....pfttt !

  • T-38...what a awesome bird!

  • In 1985 Columbia South Carolina Airport I remember seeing a T-38 with a symbol painted on the side Top Hat upside down with Uncle Sam colours....never forget and that was a pilot on the Challenger

  • T-38 my fav

  • @boxa888

you know nothing about finance. China owning 10% of treasury bills does not translate into them controlling one red cent of tax dollars. All it means is that we are obliged to pay back the Chinese for the investment they made in our stable, strong and black future!

  • @DavidEdwardSchnell it should have never happened in the first place! its just sad that we came all this way and really cut the nasa program while china keeps on strong and making there own space program, to go to the moon and beyond, it should be our road, but ohh well, 10 percent is still huge! we got no rights anymore, they spend and the tax payer cant change a thing anymore, the space program atleast kept the dream alive, but thats gonna be cut now. :( thank you nasa for all ur hard work!

  • @boxa888

cant??? what is "cant"??? You wanta say KANT??? YA?!

  • This is not the last space shuttle launch...it is just the last launch for this particular shuttle!

  • What ever happend with the foward swept wing fighter they were developing, that thing was amazing to fly.

  • I WANT THIS JOB!!!!!!

  • US is loosing a lot of power with this being the last space shuttle and the economy going down. I believe in the next 10 ti 20 years some new country will take over the status as leading world power in every aspects of the word.

  • @idiotkrati chicka chicka china

  • I love that old retro Airstream RV that NASA has had, seemingly since the beginning of the space program.

  • @boxa888

    american freedom ?.......titter

  • Nice car park to go to work...

  • Imagine, if all nations took their money and metal which is assigned for WAR, and made a megaturbo spaceship???? :) What is beter??? War or SPACE??? I WOULD PREFER SPACE......

  • Fast food employee....feet

    Office worker....city bus

    Accountant....car

    NASA Astronauts....T-13 Talon Jet

  • How long will they at the International Space Station?

  • Why is it the last is it over for nasa?

  • You can thank the Bush administration for that.

  • our heros !!good luck !!from chania

  • Awesome

  • damn nasa stop being so boring and find me some aliens

  • :D

  • Jeeze, what a way to show up for work!!! Thanks for posting this video, good luck to the crew later this week!!! =)

  • Sts-133 crew you're go for launch!

  • Ugh, it's painful to hear him say launch "attempt." Here's hoping it works out.

  • Beautiful jets, though.

  • They can't just take the airlines like everyone else? I guess they probably didn't pay for their tickets on those things?

  • @AlexanderLee1 its a tribute jeez

  • I wonder what those jets are worth and if I can trade in my truck for one. :)

  • Awesome video Nasa , i so enjoyd watching this video:)

Keep up the great work guys!

  • half the people there seem to be cameramen :O

  • can anybody please tell me what kind of planes they arrived on and where they actually came from? thanks. My thoughts are with you guys, you all do a wonderful job.

  • @miles2057 Those are T-38 jets, which are used by NASA to train astronauts. And the crew comes from Johnson Space Center in Houston, where they've been training and conducting other preparations for the mission. They were also quarantined there to prevent sickness.

  • What an awesome way to arrive at work... beats the bloody bus any old day...

  • @robdotcom71 Sure they beat taking the bus, but they also beat taking a limo.

  • poor illuminatis :(

  • do they always show up in a jet like that?

  • And now thks to current administration this is just about the end of US manned space exploration! We will be on the outside looking in while other countries take the giant leaps!

  • @zeuschild1 Thats exactly what obama wants.

  • @zeuschild1

we will get our fiscal house in order. We will get back to a strong middle class that knows how to save for the future.

  • @zeuschild1 It is a shame. These days most people are more interested in science fiction movies than they are in real life sciences.

  • @Panthiest totally agree with you

  • @zeuschild1 well the US has pretty much dominated all aspect of human everything for the last 100 years. it's about time different countrys took to space.

  • @calzagheisthebest But that's not the problem. What zeuschild is objecting to is that we won't be staying in the business alongside the others.

  • @Tyrannobeast sounded more like cleverly disguised bitterness to me.... i don't know maybe you're right. my experience with americans (though mostly only through youtube) is that they don't like to pass down the torch to anybody (i'm not trying to categorize an entire nation though, but it's easy to troll over youtube)

  • @calzagheisthebest I understand. It's a lot easier to generalize about people when conversation isn't face to face. I hope that's not how we all come off. It has been pretty upsetting, though (especially for us living in Houston, AKA Space City) to see the American human spaceflight program nearly dismantled. I hope we in the U.S. can still pick up the slack when the shuttle ends its service.

  • @calzagheisthebest Tyrannobeast is right. I'm not saying we should be the only ones, but I don't want to see us left out. The bitterness is toward those who left the shuttle program die without another shuttle system in the wings! And now Obama has killed any plans of such!

  • @zeuschild1

they are just taking a breath to reflect upon all their achievements, up next will be mind blowing.

  • @zeuschild1 and you can thank Bush for that one actually.

  • @zeuschild1

Are you forgetting that other countries are also financially suffering?

  • @zeuschild1

Space Shuttle was always waaaay too expensive.

  • @zeuschild1 Yes! Thanks a lot, Obama!

  • @zeuschild1 Yep. Giving the Russians more bragging rights. Well, I don't mind that. I sure hope the Americans vote for the next president and hope to hell that the new one will reinstate NASA programs otherwise USA will be slowly falling behind.

  • @zeuschild1 No we wont be doing manned space exploration because Bush spent all of are money before Obama got in office, they where going to have to cut more manned missions way before Obama came around ... It is not free to go into space bush liked war alot more then people in space blame him not Obama !!!

  • @zeuschild1 To Zeus; need to go back and get your facts straight, it is not current administration that started this, it was the last Bush that was in office. He sunk the US space program. Why? Because he never had any ambition to do anything but what he could do for himself.

  • May you have a successful launch, return and complete mission, Elohim's blessings...from South Africa !

  • Am I correct in picking the other 2 pilots, nasa braded helmets, as the 132 flight crew?

  • no me puedo creer que estos sean los ultimos tripulantes en una mision espacial en un transbordador, que pena.

  • Best wishes and God's blessings for a perfect and complete mission!

  • Just like they decommissioned the SR-71 and then flew it out of Vegas...

  • Final LoL, very funny NASA we all believe you because you have been so truthful in the past.

  • GOOD LUCK!

  • NASA should show the lift off of Discovery Live on Youtube or something. Since it is Discovery's last mission aswell.

  • @Frogzisdabitch -.-

they always show it live, its on their website, on NASA TV. Most things they do are on NASA TV.

  • @Frogzisdabitch Check with your cable company - you might have NASA TV at home (e.g., DirecTV carries it). They always show everything there live. As someone else said, it's on NASA TV on NASA's web site.

  • Holy crap, they travel on jets?!?!

  • Yes sir!

  • Why do they open their cockpits so early? Before they have even stopped?

  • @sp00l It's more fun and there's no danger.

  • sick
