@JetMechMA The marketing folks were depicting roominess in the cabin by using whales and also "crossing the oceans" using United's new 747 fleet. Double meaning and pretty ingenious if you ask me.

If you've ever been on Spirit airlines, they charge even for drinks that other airlines give out for free. Also, Northwest doesn't even have pillows and blankets on their domestic and maybe international flights. Both of them don't even have in-flight entertainment on domestic flights. United has all of that.

Yes, I am! Even though UA807 (SFO-SEL) is still in use, but does not continue on to MNL... I believe that UA would make bank if they resume service again to MNL since they are expanding out to the Asian market.

I am Filipino, too. I agree United Airlines should fly to MNL. I'm from Michigan. So, we don't have much options to fly to Manila. Either go to fly Northwest to Detroit or the Twin Cities, or drive 5 hours to Toronto or Chicago.
