No, the cast is just messing around with the people in the seats. All Cirque shows feature a pre-show to get the audience hyped up before the actual performance begins.

In a typical pre-show, the clowns would be roaming the aisles, picking out their targets and playing little pranks here and there. In a few shows, even some of the characters (maybe even the band itself) would come out and interact with the audience to get them familiarized with the show's theme and setting.

I saw this last night in Omaha and it was BRILLIANT!! A bit different form the DVD performance but just amazing. They didn't have the Hoops, Strong Man, or High Bar act at the end, but they did have Hand Balancing which was AMAZING and beautiful, and a guy with a single large hoop, I think the clown performances were longer too to make up for the third removed act. it was BRILLIANT! I Loved the contortion and hand balancing, just beautiful!! Power track was amazing!! Got front row seats! :D

Aye, me too.. Probably the only role the common person can play in order to get into the show. Since all he does is walk around shouting Alegria and flirting with the ladies. He doesn't have to do anything completely insane or acrobatic. I can feel the disks in my back popping just thinking of all the crazy stuff these guys can do. x.x

I'm not sure who you mean with the elephant and the white ppl, but I'll guess:P The Elephant looking things are the old birds in Alegria. It's a kingdom without a king where everyone wants control. The old birds think they have the power, but they're scared of the new, young and pure inhabitants

I don't know if anyone replied (Plus this is kind of late) but the characters name is Fleur and he is the ringmaster for Alegria in the show. He's pretty much the ruler during the kings absence.

And he's pretty damn twisted
