@FalseHopeGlam Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)
@GymnasticsLoverize well, I have enough polish that I've never used up a bottle marbling if that's what you mean - & considering it got me Partnership I certainly wouldn't consider any of it wasted LOL
can someone tell me what mood polish is? it's only recently that I started liking nail polish, so I have no idea what mood polish is, could someone tell me?
@TheBananaHotdog it just happens sometimes - I think it has a bit to do with how dry the polish is when you dip in, sometimes the design just kind of wraps onto the underside of the nail =)
@ashley5234 well, your opinion is in the minority LOL & while this isn't my favorite vid it was requested to do one with mood polish & if you look at some of my other designs you'll see why they call me the queen of marbling =P
@pokemonlover2345 an orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick – you can use anything with a fine point =)
@biebergurl555 every polish dries at a different speed & those that dry fast just aren't very good for marbling - if you can't work any quicker then you have to find colors that dry slower =) Also make sure there's not a fan or anything creating a draft on the water as that can make the polish dry faster
cool- I actually have the Claire's Nail polish you mentioned. Bought it right before the Claire's in my town closed- so now I no longer have access to Claire's merchandise. Have to travel 20 miles to find nearest one.

@catvlntne I'd have a lot of frozen cups LOL. If you really like the design you can let the polish dry in the cup & the whole top will come off as a hard sheet eventually =) or you can dip something other than your nails
Cool! I got 2 mood polishes but never wore them on longer nails. I really like the effect on your long nails. It looks gradient or air brushed. I also just watched your nail patch tutorial. Thank-you for saving my nails from being chopped off today
@KoolKat6256 an orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick – you can use anything with a fine point =)
@helloitsmeemo All sally hansen extreme wear nail polishes have worked for me and they are pretty cheap, where I live I can get them for $2.50 at the dollar general
for those of you just trying water marble dont use a plastic cup because if a drop of polish drops to the bottom of the cup and sits there long enough it will melt/ dissolve the plastic and make a huge mess
Thank you SO MUCH for taking your time to show us all how to do this. I just recently stumbled upon your vids today and they're amazing!! Trying this tonight, thanks again!
@MsLadyGS sorry but I don't do nail art on my toes & don't have any plans to do pedicure videos - fans have posted pics on my facebook page best advice would be you definitely need someone to help you & guide your toe in the cup =)
@helloitsmeemo There really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well – the colors I use are always listed in the information box. I'm lovin ur tutorials! I cant believe Im almost thirty n have NEVER seen this done before. I tired this all day n have run into a few issues, worst being I tired this with a styrofoam cup! Ooops! :) big mess.
I was hoping u could answer a question... I used filtered room temp water n only my first polish spreads, no biggie I guess, but my "bullseye" is so small then, n the surface (the first drop) is so sticky that i cant drag the stick thru it, it comes right out of the cup. whats wrong?
@kathyproductionsns I try to keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – you can check out my Nail Maintenance vid in the Tips & Trick playlist for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) I do "Naked Nails" posts on my blog every month or so where I talk more about like all the specific products I'm currently using.
Hello! :) i have seen a lot of your tutorials and i wanted to ask you if you could PLEASE do something that someone with all regular brush nail polishes and only about 2 thinner brush nail polishes and no other nail polish stuff like stickers or acrylic gell or shimmers and stuff, could do pleeeeaaaaaaaassseeeeeeee :)
@MANNUbMe well water marbling uses just normal polish, but if you're looking for something more freehand check out my Nail Art playlist =) I'm thinking you mean something like my New Years Fireworks look, which uses striper brushes
@theKRMsisters I don't use tape or anything else. The polish layer is so thin that it comes right off. I just use cotton rounds and polish remover, but qtips work, too. I saturate the round, swipe it over the big areas of paint, then fold it in half and then half again so I can get right around the nail with the corner and edge of the round. When the polish it dry I take a nail brush, soap and water to the fingers to get the remnants.

@TheSunriseEclipse I use a brush dipped in acetone – you can check out the clean up tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how =)
@walkingonahill Most "Claire's" stores sell mood polish for fairly cheap. I'm pretty sure they have a Claire's in most malls, so you should check sometime. But you'd have to look at a mall, since (as far as I know) Claire's doesn't have any stores out on their on like clothing stores or restaraunts do. Hope this helps! :)
@jReneee1 you can clean off the skin by dripping one drop of polish & using your stick to spread it all over the surface - let it dry & when you pull it out it will take the skin with it =)
I struggle to do these because a only really have nail PAINT and it does not spred in water. Any advice?

@walkingonahill Most "Claire's" stores sell mood polish for fairly cheap. I'm pretty sure they have a Claire's in most malls, so you should check sometime. But you'd have to look at a mall, since (as far as I know) Claire's doesn't have any stores out on their on like clothing stores or restaraunts do. Hope this helps! :)

@jReneee1 you can clean off the skin by dripping one drop of polish & using your stick to spread it all over the surface - let it dry & when you pull it out it will take the skin with it =)
