@DarkPrince6671 You can't guarantee that everything in this game is a destructible. We've been lead to think that this/that game feature full destructibility, but honestly, none of them actually are. Only game I can think of with nearly full destructibility is Minecraft.

@vascalaos MW3 will disappoint even more. This looks like actual combat. Besides new guns, and co-op campiagn. Trust me this will be a lot better than BC2.

@PekolieProductions DICE didn't ruin MOH. They made the multiplayer, which gave it some redeeming qualities. EA Los Angeles made the piss poor single player.
@adeadlobster they made multiplayer which was more chaotic than anything i have ever played before, near to no recoil (which at first no one really took too much notice of but in the end turned out to be terrible for weapon balancing for long range) literally every reload animation was origionally in BC2 which translates into lazy development whereas the SP by Danger Close was very detailed to be as realistic (that a shooter like it can be) and fun with good gameplay, the opposite of the MP....

DICE at least tried something new, which is more than I can say for Activision, who are the epitome of a copy and paste company. The singleplayer was not realistic. You should play it again, just to remind yourself of what a realistic/good game isn't like.
awesome. I'm a COD person but I also play Battlefield. I never really thought there was a rivalry between the 2 games since COD was more like special forces vs special forces while Battlefield was well about Battlefields
I don't think people are aware that the COD series hasn't had any drastic changes to its gameplay since Call of Duty 4. COD4 onwards are identical. COD4 was even based on COD2's multiplayer system, except with custom classes, and a modern environment. Speaking of which, what's the difference between COD2 and COD1? The health regen system? Seriously, BF is the future.
BTW, I own all the CODs, and as repetitive as they are, I do enjoy them. BF is still the future though.

@decepzionjames12 Battlefield is a pretty nice easy and fast arcade shooter, if you know how to play well. It's more tactical and slower than CoD, that's a given. But it's not as tactical as say, ArmA or PR.
Good thing about BF games is that they're all encompassing though. You can play it how you want to play it, because the games are relatively balanced and designed to suit all styles of play.

I find this blatant Cod boycott to be downright childish and even pathetic. I would rather play two great games than one. Each offer something different and I've been a fan of the BF and Cod series for years (but I did hate the frostbite engine). I have never once compared them, want to pwn some noobs and run around like a headless chicken?? play COD. Want to use badass vehicles and play in a squad?? play BF.
The thing about COD is that it "casualized" FPS to a point where its just mindless running, shooting, and trashtalking. (I know the games a little more in-depth, but just look at the stereotype of a CoD player...enough said). The whole industry jumps and tries to be like COD, dumbing down the genre with more twitch gameplay and gimmicks. The BF series presents itself as the opposite of this. To put it bluntly, for the good of the gaming innovation/advancement, COD MUST DIE.

OK. Mindless shooting. Lets go all the way back to Wolfenstein 3D, and then we can take this concept to every FPS ever made. The difference is that some FPS's added flavor and ideas that improved the genre, and some FPS's became dull and the entire genre began to stagnate with it while playing "follow the industry leader".

I'm a huge COD and BF fan i agreee that this is a much better quality game than MW3, i love the knifing animation and the much improved squad system and UI. also they have gone back to BF2142 in terms of classes so you have Assualt which is a Medic, Support which provides Ammo, Engi and Recon, Looks epic :)
PC guys really need to chill, consoles are here and they're not going to go away any time soon.
CoD guys really need to accept that there are other games and that sales don't equal quality.

I was saying that the developers behind Call of Duty change so little between games that Modern Warfare 3 is essentially going to be a glorified expansion pack. A new campaign (Albeit one that can be beat in 5 hours), and some new multiplayer maps. Nothing else is really changed or worthy of note. And then there's the whole premium service crap, where it seems that you're charged extra just to get the new features. But that might change. Doubtful.
@FCIxxNoTtheSuN Also, back to your original point, I never really got excited for CoD games to begin with. The first Modern Warfare was decently fun, but every game after that (With the exception of WaW) just seemed like a bad copy+paste job of the last, with some minor tweaks that ultimately nobody cared about or ended up having a negative impact. I just don't like what CoD has become: a shallow twitch-shooter, where the only thing that matters is who has the fastest reflexes. I like tactics.

@decepzionjames12 Battlefield is a pretty nice easy and fast arcade shooter, if you know how to play well. It's more tactical and slower than CoD, that's a given. But it's not as tactical as say, ArmA or PR.
Good thing about BF games is that they're all encompassing though. You can play it how you want to play it, because the games are relatively balanced and designed to suit all styles of play.

I find this blatant Cod boycott to be downright childish and even pathetic. I would rather play two great games than one. Each offer something different and I've been a fan of the BF and Cod series for years (but I did hate the frostbite engine). I have never once compared them, want to pwn some noobs and run around like a headless chicken?? play COD. Want to use badass vehicles and play in a squad?? play BF.

The thing about COD is that it "casualized" FPS to a point where its just mindless running, shooting, and trashtalking. (I know the games a little more in-depth, but just look at the stereotype of a CoD player...enough said). The whole industry jumps and tries to be like COD, dumbing down the genre with more twitch gameplay and gimmicks. The BF series presents itself as the opposite of this. To put it bluntly, for the good of the gaming innovation/advancement, COD MUST DIE.

@Lobotomick I agree it's much more accessible than halo or BF. And Crysis 2's muliplayer was a blatant clone. MOH started out great but got milked throughout the years until COD became the way forward. So we need a new IP or something revolutionary.
Sadly, I've been playing Cod longer than I've been playing battlefield (since the 2003) so I have a soft spot for IW games. I'll buy it second hand so Activision don't get any money But I'm not buying it for the just for the multiplayer.

OK. Mindless shooting. Lets go all the way back to Wolfenstein 3D, and then we can take this concept to every FPS ever made. The difference is that some FPS's added flavor and ideas that improved the genre, and some FPS's became dull and the entire genre began to stagnate with it while playing "follow the industry leader".

I'm a huge COD and BF fan i agreee that this is a much better quality game than MW3, i love the knifing animation and the much improved squad system and UI. also they have gone back to BF2142 in terms of classes so you have Assualt which is a Medic, Support which provides Ammo, Engi and Recon, Looks epic :)

I am tired of all people that think Battlefield Is going to somewhat replace CoD. When it was the end of MW2 everyone was looking to treyarch. Now they are looking to Dice. I am making a prediction battlefield 3 will not be without it's problems and will be replaced by Halo 4, saying halo is the king. I was saying that the developers behind Call of Duty change so little between games that Modern Warfare 3 is essentially going to be a glorified expansion pack. A new campaign (Albeit one that can be beat in 5 hours), and some new multiplayer maps. Nothing else is really changed or worthy of note. And then there's the whole premium service crap, where it seems that you're charged extra just to get the new features. But that might change. Doubtful.

The first Modern Warfare was decently fun, but every game after that (With the exception of WaW) just seemed like a bad copy+paste job of the last, with some minor tweaks that ultimately nobody cared about or ended up having a negative impact. I just don't like what CoD has become: a shallow twitch-shooter, where the only thing that matters is who has the fastest reflexes. I like tactics.
