  • True what you said about the timer, but the time and speed does not matter if there was someone else in the other lane. You guy LOST...regardless if he got there first or not, the 1952 three speed on the colum 6 cylinder Studebaker won with a 24.4 et and 71 mph...lmao here. No one in the other lane and you red light...damn...thats almost as bad as getting fired on your day off.

  • the s2000 runs a 1/4 mile in 13.9 at its best but that is if you shift at max rpm and dump the clutch at 8k rpm. a comparison test was done that the driver dumped the clutch at 5k and shifted at 5500rpm and the car was only good fore a 15.6 sec time. yuo wanna race one? its not the car to have. ill take the vette any day

THAT is the funny part.. cause i've seen a 10second honda s2000 with a supercharger and full eternals pulling 9000 rpm's for under 30,000 bucks.. and its WAY sexier, and tell you the truth probably gets the girls more... corvettes are over rated... lol.. price to power:weight ratio is CRAP...

  • A Honda S2K is sexier than a Vette? And HP/weight ratio in a Vette is crap? What Jap car has a better HP/weight ratio than a Z06, or even a base model C6? What stock car for $70K has better hp/weight ratio than a Z06? I still can't get over your comment that a Honda is sexier than a Vette. You invest $30K in a Honda and you will never get back that investment.

  • well haha... i'm not a fan of corvette looks. but if you are building a drag car... who needs there investment back? lol... usually full drag cars barely see 60,000 miles before a rebuild. lol.. if your truely buying a vette for the power and not the looks.. why buy it? lol you can build an old civic with near 500 hp for under 20,000. and a stock z06 Power/weight is 6.3:1, and a stock Z-tune nissan skyline's is 6.8:1 BUT has AWD for a quicker 0-60 time and quarter mile time

  • actually the 2000 honda s2k's with the F20C engines reved 9000 rpm's but the newer ones have the F22C1 engines that only factory have a rev limiter at 8150... the 2.0l had minor INTERNALs (yes i go to school, sorry i can't type) including lobed cams, titanium valve springs and a larger bore and stroke than the old 2.0L F20 Accord engines..

  • ha.. what is turbo and supercharging? haha.. if you lower compression and raise boost and use a high octane fuel such as Ethanol.. what is power? haha 35 psi of pressure on a low compression engine? haha.. standard air pressure is what 15ish? 30psi is tripling that 155hp honda s2000 with 30psi.. 155 X 3= what? 450? haha.. then u have to make the engine be able to handle that with internals.. haha but 450 hp is pretty high i think.. lol.. boost sucks? please please explain?!

  • do you really even know what your talkin about honestly? i never said boost sucks but slapping a supercharger on a s2000 isnt going to make it a 10 second car... like you said you would have to lower the compression, run more boost, probably forge the internals have supportive fuel upgrades, possibly some drive train upgrades, dr's or slick and a really nice ass tune! and still i dont even know if that would touch 10's.. and most imports are more expensive to mod then domestics....

  • LS1 camaro? lets see... is the 99 referencing a mid 4th generation? when they got rid of the 305 5L and put in the 346ci 5.7L? ok... so 5.7L can pull out 310-325 stock hp TOPS... when a honda s2k gets amost 260hp out of a 2.0L? naturally aspirated? haha. well. i'd say the power to displacement ratio is alot higher than the camaro. so, you can get get 1000 hp our of your camaro. 600 out of an s2k will be faster with power to weight ratio's ha.. having rice vrs. muscle fights isnt going to end

  • wow you can read specs on a car... to bad ls1's are more like 340 to 350hp cuz they are horribly under rated from the factory... wow your 2.0 has 260hp n/a it still doesnt have any torque! and that 2.0 is basically maxing out the horsepower from the potential of a 2 liter engine. and ls1 are horrible restricted from factory and have seen over 500hp still with a stock short block N/A! lets see your 2 liter do that! it will need boost or nitrous to get over 300hp on pump gas...

  • 35psi on a engine out of a s2k with the right supposting mods and lower compression is going to be WAY higher than 400hp... and americans didnt invent shit right... thats why ford was the first company to make a mass production of cars...

  • and to educate you a bit pos 305 stopped in 3 gen camaros they were never offered in the 4th gens buddy.. only 5.7 liter.. 93-97 lt1's and 98-02 ls1's

  • ha.. ok... yes like you said.. with an s2k youd need boost to get over 300.. lets say you get a 35 pound supercharger with some smaller piston rings for lower compression? huh.. from the FACTORY Mugen supercharger you can pull 35 psi which will boost the car up to over 400 hp.. the thing is.. a two door two seater convertable has a LOT less weight than a camero.. lol.. no an s2k isnt that fast but it does quite well for WELL under half the engine size and half the cost of a camero!lol..

  • dude you have no idea what your talkin about first off i know more about mkiv supra's than you ever will so dont go there and compression rings have NOTHING to do with higher and lower compression.. my point is there is no replacement for displacement, there are substitutes and boost is one of them but there is no replacment! and i dont think iv seen a honda pushing 35 pounds that is daily driven.. and last thing i dont know what a camEro is but i do know what a camAro**** is lol

  • Smaller piston rings create more blow by, not lower compression ratios. To lower compression ratios, you would increase the volume of the combustion chamber in the cylinder head, and/or you would use a smaller dome on the piston if it was domed, go to flat tops if it were domed, or run dished pistons... so you can get the CR down to around 8.5:1 so you can build NO power and run all the boost and spray you want. I would prefer a camaro poppin 12.5:1 CR with some nasty .250" dome forged KB slugs.
