this is the greatest song i've ever heard. this and other gang starr songs are song with lyrics that really make you think. rap today has no meaning and only raps about weed and other shit. this type of rap is the greatest R.I.P Guru
It's sad how music from true ppl brings us together but religion, race, television and other orchestrated bullshit tears us apart in a quick moment. Miss you Guru.

Lex Luger shits on Premier - Grove St Party is the hardest beat ever.
Premier is old, washed up and outdated: how many times is Premier is going make the same beat over again with that shitty mpc60 which still uses floppy disks!
i love gangstarr and always have i was actually sad when i heard that Guru had passed this is one of my favorite songs by gangstarr he will be missed but he lives thru his music.
This song has kept my head on straight through some shit. And I'm glad to have it back, keeps reminding me that whatever life throws at you you can persevere through your shit
there will never be a more talented, deep, person ever again and there never was, i look to this song when im feeling down or deeply thinking, just to that a person that great had troubles, worse than mine and make art like that is amazing he was and always will be true hip-hop, he was loved and will continue to be loved, R.I.P. @mauiportal24 ur cuz is a liar because my dad knew him and he did not have HIV he had CANCER and died from cardiac arrest and he was definitely NOT a fucking prick Maybe your cousin was acting like a prick towards him
It's hard to describe a feeling which I feel when I'm listening to this song. I'm sad and angry because Guru had to leave us so early, but at the same time I'm happy knowing that he dedicated his whole life to Old School Hip Hop and left us a priceless, precious and wonderful legacy of PURE and MEANINGFUL Hip Hop music.
R.I.P Guru, The Master of Rhyming. We love you and miss you so much.
I can't understand people who think that nowadays *cough* Hip Hop *cough* is awesome. It's fake and meaningless music, it's a disrespect to real MC's who worked hard to rise a honorable Hip Hop name. 2Pac, Gang Starr, Wu-Tang Clan, N.W.A, Ice Cube, Biggie, Big L, Eric B and Rakim, Blaq Poet, Dr.Dre and many others shouldn't be never forgotten.
Definitely one of the greats. My cousin who used to engineer for Guru told me that Guru had HIV and it took him too early. Dont know if Solar had anything to do with that, but my cuz said he was a pretentious prick.
@mauiportal24 He had HIV? That just shows how much your cousin "knew" him. He died of cancer. By the way do you even know the definition of prick? Well you're the perfect definition.
He was truly the illest and the realest rapper cos he never sold out he just kept it real and thats what makes him a true legend and hes rhymes just kill it the way he expresses hes feelings he raps from hes heart and not many rappers/singers out there are able to do that - R.I.P GURU
@Legacychildren It's Guru you fucking ass poser... Premo and Guru were Gangstarr, gosh I hate you 13 year old poser kids that come with your "real hip hop" comments.
@Legacychildren He actually didn't believe in smoking weed. I mean not sayin I don't agree with you :) But yea. Guru himself didn't get high and drunk because he was smart enough to. Which in a sense is a good thing. That's why I respect him so.
Just had "Moment of Truth" playing in my mind as I get ready to pack up and move from an apartment where I'm always being sleep deprived from noise. @JudqeThe video games generally have old school hip-hop and underground hip-hop as well. its almost like the people making these games really have a passion for music. even in new games, you still hear old songs, or underground hip-hop, which is very good as well.
Reef The Lost Cauze is a pretty good underground artist. look up his song called "thug fantasy", alot of good meaning to it.

When all is one and one is all, yeah
To be a rock and not to roll.
And she's buying the stairway to heaven
Is this satanic lyrics?

@JudqeThe video games generally have old school hip-hop and underground hip-hop as well. its almost like the people making these games really have a passion for music. even in new games, you still hear old songs, or underground hip-hop, which is very good as well.
Reef The Lost Cauze is a pretty good underground artist. look up his song called "thug fantasy", alot of good meaning to it.
