Most of Ecclesiastes is written in sarcasm. Solomon. In this case, Solomon is pointing out the folly of believing that money solves everything. For instance, in Ecclesiasted 10:17, Solomon praises the princes that eat at a proper time to gain strength. Why, 2 verses later, would Solomon say that a feast is made for laughter?
The bible is non-contradictory and must be taken completely together.

When we love money it opens the door to the spirit of whoredoms Hos5:4 prv15:27. It can be linked to Murder, divorce, jealousy etc.. The goal is not to allow money to change you for the worst, but we rule over it.. personally I experienced death in a marriage because my partner loved money more than me.
