  • excelente

  • Complimenti ! Bravi!.....

  • So nice, i like to listen angels singing Ave Maria

  • I don't know what they are saying, but, these are the prettiest voices I ever heard. They must be Angels! Thank you!

  • SO BEAUTIFUL , BREATHTAKING.....

  • why don't pop groups sing like this? i can understand not doing it in metal, rock, hiphop, r&b or other music with solo singers, but if you are a group of singers actually sing together not just at the same time.

  • is there a longer version of this video or is this the only version ?

  • It is great!

    Theotokos pray for us!

    Hail Holy Queen!

  • marvellous !

  • 4/10 for horrible pronunciation. If not considering the fact that 'Ave Maria' is a plainchant (with its original melody) the interpretation of the chant is quite good - 9/10. It is my personal opinion, no reason for arguing ;) :D

  • Nice, but not very "correct". The Gregorian Chant was monophonic (one voice only, one melodic line). Generally speaking in the USA all medieval vocal music is Gregorian Chant, but it is not. This sounds like a past harmonization. The early polyphonic vocal music was called "Organum", also because is a technique that imitates the organ long pedal notes.

    I enjoyed it anyway!

  • Organum itself is older than the organs by some few hundred years, could you please tell us how Organum imitated the long pedal notes?

  • Well, reading my comment again I have to say that I don't know why I wrote that about the imitation thing. However, we know that the organ was invented in ancient Greece, but I don't know its first usage in the Liturgy.

  • That's not liturgy that matters in this case. The _pedals_ matter:> The ancient Greek thing was hardly any pipe organ, there were small portable organs in medieval times (with no pedals). Organum roots are in IX century, portative (portable pipe organs) somewhere in XI-XII, and the first one sure to include pedals in 1361 AD. It's rather "pedal notes may be based on the organum" :>

  • Sorry, my mistake - the earliest pedals (directly connectable to normal hand keyboard, not separate in voice nor construction) appeared in XIII century. Which still is a couple of hundred years too late to influance the earliest organums

  • Lindo! Emocionante.

  • My gosh, that's beautiful. ***** Bravo! Thank you for bringing joy to the world and glory to the Mother of the Savior. As an aside, to settle the issue, technically, this is polyphony based on Gregorian melody.

  • WOW! I just love your singing voices! I can't believe my own aunts are famous!!! You're doing great! Love, your neice, Cecilia

  • erm... where are the monks????

  • Monks? A Gregorian chant does not have to be sung by monks.

  • okay.... no monks then... -_-"

  • you should check out hildegard von bingen.

she was a nun who wrote alot of chants that are very beautifull :)

if church were that depressing i would go everyday :p

  • People go to church to worship , pray and give thanks to the Lord ,Our God.

  • Even though outstanding this is not even comparable to the sounds of the choirs of Heaven. One can only imagine.
