  • good episode

  • @vedicger108 pls contact me at priyadarshiwiz@gmail.com. i would need your help. am a Ramayana fan and am on a "personal mission" to have the original unedited version of Ramayana, exactly as in the VHS, reconverted to digital format to viewing pleasure, with all the preluding bhajans and commentary. i already have a great imported sony VHS player and my personal studio for conversion. i even have most of the tapes, but many are fungus infected. if i can rent some VHS from you for the purpose?!

  • Some memorable scenes were taken out of the Lav Kush series. I can deal with the less-than-stellar special effects or the arhaic look any day, but the original format is watchable any day. I wish the original Lav Kush and Shri Krishna series were available in DVD form.

  • @vedicger108 yes, sadly, they even tampered with early portion of Krishna. in VHS version, the story of avatars are narrated before the story of Krishna avatar begins. in the DVDs they are narrated when Krishna is in gurukul!

  • I don't know when they decided to edit the whole series, but I have a gut feeling it might've been approved by Ramanand Sagar. I don't have the edited Ramayan series, but I do have the both version Lav Kush (Uttar Ramayan) (i.e. the edited DVD series as well as the original VHS tapes. In the edited version, Ramanand Sagar gave a commentary, but he looked older and it looked like it was done in the late 90s, vs. the original commentary.)

  • @vedicger108 but dont u think it's unlikely that such beautiful scenes as "Ram-Lakshman touring Mithila", the "Raam coronation bhajan", and even the important ones like "Birth story of Sita", and many little bits here and there will be ordered by Ramanand Sagar himself to be cut! My theory is, many scenes were originally cut to accommodate 2 episodes into a single VCD, when the first version of the VCDs (by Priya) were out. Its sad and cheating on the producer's part.

  • sweet, but sad !

  • In my opinion original version of this serial which was telecasted on DD in 1987 is all time popular serial in coming 100-200 years. We all are should be indebt to Great Ramanand Sagar for his efforts in making this serial. I do'nt understand why Sagar Enterprise is allowing such kind of edit and changes.

  • @9810856661 yes, it is sad indeed.

  • brilliant ...............

  • they changed so many things in the 16 DVD set..not just this..and it really changes the experience ..the original was so much better

  • @shizzledizzles ya, they dont esp have the right to change a maker's creation without his consent... this 16 DVD set sucks at many places...

  • This is one thing that bugs me about the new 16-DVD set of "Ramayan". Here is a song that was perfectly fine in the original and they completely changed it. They replaced Tulsidas' verses with their own. While their lyrics aren't bad, they can't compare with the original. Why couldn't they have just left well enough alone?

They do this throughout the 16-DVD "Ramayan", unnecessarily messing with the sound and music. It ruins the experience!

  • @utube11333 ya, it does ruin the experience, no doubt...

  • I do'nt like dvd version of ramayana available in market now a days. This edit in original Ramayana took place sice the year of 1999. It is the time when Video Cassettes popularity vanishes in modern generation of media. In DVD version of ramayan since 1st to last episode a lot changes were made in songs, background musics and in some scenes as well. These changes should b required when original run would not be good enough. But new edit in this serial is decreasing d popularity of dis serial.

  • amazing

  • thanx!
