At 1:40 in this video, you say "The name is Burt." In one of your other videos, either "Ham Radio, A Critical Evaluation" or "The Truth Revealed about Ham Radio" (don't feel like watching them again) you made the comment about the impersonal nature of most ham radio operators, citing the use of "The name is ___" instead of saying "My name is ___."
Have you considered the Icom IC-7000? It gives you the same digital filtering you are used to on the 756. With the 897, it uses traditional mechanical filters. It only holds two and they cost a small fortune each. So why have that when the 7000 lets you create dyanmic digital filters in software that operate as well or better then mechanical filters?
I'm selling because I'm using the FT857D. No point in having two rigs that are basically the same expect for the packaging.....plus the FT857D is just a bit smaller than the FT897D. I suppose if I were to put an internal power supply into the 897 it would be the prefect rig to put into my camper. As Boogyman (aka KD8EFS) mentioned we have other rigs.

I used the FT 897d while travelling out west fo the past 4 years, I really liked it. I used both a home brew 40m windom along with a Z100 tuner and the ASTM 120 antennas dependiing on the location. However I selling it because now I'm use the FT 857D....
PS: I enjoyed your video about Ham Radio operators... very funny!!!!
I know nothing about Ten Tec. I tried using a dipole for my camping, but settled on a PAC-12 vertical. I do not go mobile. Too inefficent and distracting
Just curious, what do you think of the Ten Tec Orion? TenTec has a YT channel, and he demoed it a few times. TenTec also has a PC rig. I liked your review of the Flex 5000. Icom has a nice PC receiver at low cost. I would think that the Orion beats the Yaesu. I've never used any of them myself, but I'm curious if YOU have? For PC rigs, I like the Flex the best so far, from what I've seen. But for a mobile, it would be a tough call. The hardest part of going mobile is the antenna choice.
I keep thinking he is saying Encom, my love of Tron is dear.

Have you noticed any DSP artifacts (crackles, pops, distortion, etc.) on CW receive? Especially in 'filter 1' mode?
