In New York Police just started using blue light's on police cars for vthe first time last year 2010. Bike officers don't use bike light's of any kind they don't want to be notice is one and two the police can't afford it. Fact not fiction I should know I was one of them. Any color would do on a bike they won't stop you from using it. Firemen is suppose to use blue and EMS use green but nobody does they rather use red like the police everybody respects it not the other colors.
@MWamidh In the U.S. It is 100% Legal for bike's. Main reason being that police and EMS use vehicles NOT bike's. Plus, Just in case it is illegal most company's put in like: red + red or dark green w/ blue cover + Red. *example: these*
@98p98p98 I see... In the UK where I live red + blue is for police . blue + blue is for ambulance , green for doctor responding to emergency, orange for road works or recovery vehicles.
No other cars or even bikes are allowed to use any of the above without license...
@98p98p98 Well, most of them acctually have both lights with red LEDs, and green somewhat can blend into a blue cover... I would use green before red under a blue cover, even though I would rather use blue...
Were did you buy this? If you are in a different country we are in Bellevue, Washington, United States.
