  • Is it the battery or what. I'm from Europe and I have 08' Civic Type R with triangular exhausts and when its just around freezing point it sounds like its not going to start.. Sounds like battery is flat. Its my first Honda before that I had couple off Toyota's and they started fine even in minus 20

  • when my honda started cold. i revved it and warmed up the engine a bit. hondas are bad in cold weather

  • @thweepz Revving a cold engine is a very bad idea. Especially if it just barely starts in well below freezing temps, you don't want to touch the throttle for at least 30 seconds or so.

  • @thweepz no i meant when i start driving haha. my bad. wasnt clear. no i let it idle for about a minute so i know it wont die. then ill just rev it a lil higher for the first few min of driving. not sure if thats bad for ur car. but i drive almost 70 miles a day. i dont want that car dying on me haha

  • @thweepz I have always heard they were didnt know how true it was though

  • all hondas hate to start in cold weather i have a 2010 tsx v6 and it hatded this cold spell

  • thats hondas for ya daewoos start right up no problem

  • @Matthew55904 Then why do you think the KBB on your 2001 Daweoo Lanos S is under $2K, even with 40K on it? There is quite a difference in a cold start at -15 to one at +30... But I wont dispute that essentially all Civic's have a very 'weak' sounding start.

  • @Matthew55904 That start up sucked, Subaru's are MUCH BETTER! For winter/cold starts.
