@papabugs71 I've heard of very fast Dakota guys breaking these but this high miler trans is working just fine. Also had a 95 Ram Sport, it survived many 4000rpm launches and powershifting. This 87 has only seen 1500rpm launch and always closed throttle shifting. Great for trucks, especially towing but it's not a racing transmission.
So you say this was a v6 truck with a 360 throun into her? id like to know cause my truck is an 89 v6 5spd short box. pretty similar to yours, black with all the trim and red interior.
How is the NV3500 holding up? Im considering swapping the 46RE in my '01 for a NV3500.

FUCK YEAH 3RD GEAR RUBBER! I've got an '86 F150 with a 302 and a 5speed, reg cab 2wd, i can get rubber in second but 3rds a bitch

no i think he put the nv3500 trans in there from a newer v6 truck.
they never had the nv3500 in 87
