How to Download and Install Prometheus v4 on CFW 5.00 m33-6 & 5.50 GEN D3 (PSP 1000&2000)

I'm on 5.50 prometheus 4 on my psp slim.would i be able to play back my savedata if i upgrade to 6.60 ME-1.6 CFW?

@jhonzlie22 you can install 6.60 cfw with no worries cuz it's the last psp firmware and prolly the best (it runs/reads everíthing).....if games doesn't load then you have to set the UMD ISO MODE to "m33 driver" ....you can set it in the VSH menu (to access the VSH menu press select while in the XMB ....the xmb is the psp's menu, where are things like "games,music,videos,settings..­.etc)

@07ka24rl08 those most latest games will only work on newer CFW's like 6.60 ME so you should update if you want to play that game, check my top liked comment on how to do so...(it's very simple)

@TecchyTutorials update to 6.60 ME it's the best psp CFW in my opinion (got awesome features and it's stable as hell :D) how to update: download the file 660.PBP and EBOOT.PBP from the description and create a folder in your psp's memory stick's PSP>GAME directory and rename the new folder to: UPDATE. Put the two downloaded files into that UPDATE folder......now grab your psp and enter the application called "psp update ver 6.60" then do what your psp says :)) Thumbs up so people can see!!!

@Dark1995Demo try it....if the system information changes to: 5.50 prome-4 then you are ready to go! ...if it doesn't then run the 5.50 gen d3 installer again (that will erase the old prometheus) and then do this update. :)

@zseriiiiii have the same problem as masterprivate118, but is there any other alternate way other then updating to 5.50 GEN-D3? I updated before, and realised that it either corrupted or made all my old save files unreadable, so I'm pretty unwilling to update.

@FasterThanLife15 Before the update backup your "SAVEDATA" folder on your pc and delete it from your psp......after the update is complete put that folder back to your psp (where it belongs... lol) this should solve the problem.....

@HungMedium first: in the VSH menu (press "select" in the xmb) set the "UMD ISO MODE" to "Sony NP9660"

second: ....if the first doesn't work update your psp to 5.50 gen d3 link in the desc. :)

@hateskewl have you installed earlyer versions of prometheus? If you do then uninstall it....and delete the files remaining from it...then do the install again.

If this is your first try to install prometheus on your psp....then I suggest you to upgrade to 5.50 gen d3 :D

the upgrade is pretty simple (yuo will find a link in the decsription to a video on hiow to do it)

and then you should download and install the prome-4 for that firmware!....then you are ready to play :)

@hateskewl In my opinion the best way to unbrick a phat psp is to own a

- Magic Memory stick

and a

- Pandora's battery

you can buy these on ebay or somewhere else......but if you don't want to spend money you can make these on your own.....I will put a link in the desc. to a video on how to do it.

MGS peace walker, Monster hunter freedom unite 3rd, Narutoshippuden ultimate Ninja shit xD(the demo because the full game is not not out yet), dissidia 012 duodecim, Tactics ogre LUCT, KH BBS, FF4 The complete c...........and the list goes on! The truth is that with this firmware I could (and can) play any game that is out today......there is no need for further update :)

@darknaruto5000 Have you made sure that you downloaded the correct prometheus file? *5.50 GEN* (because there are different files for each firmware)

anyway.....I too got Gen d3 with this prometheus (this means I have *5.50 prome-4*)

and I had no problems with installing it....but another problem can be if your Mem. stick is fake......

you can see if your mem stick is fake or not if you press *triangle* instead of *x* at the mem stick logo in the psp's main menu (XMB)

I have tried that game too....but on 5.50 gen d3 (with prometheus so....5.50 prome-4 exactly) I've followed this tutorial to upgrade from 5.00 m33-6 so if you want It so hard to play that game xD you can upgrade like me :D and than download the prometheus for that 5.50 firmware from the link in the desc. ,install it and play that game
