Speed Booster, Spring ball, bomb, morphing ball, hi-jump boots, space jump, screw attack...
And of course, Samus Aran !

Man, the intro ALWAYS got me pumped up. The guy's voice (in my opinion..) was a bit silly sounding, but that 16 bit intro music made you ALWAYS feel like you were entering something epic.
